The trees were beautiful. So was the green grass and the tiny clear, sky blue river by the little brown wooden bench. Everything about this painting was beautiful. I don't know who painted it however. It will always remain a mystery to me. Besides I'm too lazy to even try to search it up. The guy or girl who painted it was probably dead anyway. Why bother looking? Anyway, my name is Y/N L/N, and I just moved into this nice house in front of the woods. I have neighbors, I think. I was at a thrift shop looking for furniture and saw this gorgeous painting. So, I bought it of course. It was strange actually. I felt a connection with it. However, as I was walking out of the thrift shop I could've sworn I heard the strange lady call back to me, "beware! Touch the painting and-" I didn't hear anything for the ringing of the bell blocked out any sound. I was already out the door anyway. On the way home I couldn't get the echo of her words out of my head.
What was she talking about anyway?
