hoseok had walked with a smile on his face the whole time while walking.

i wanted to smile at his smile, but i decided to remain straight faced. i wanted to seem easy to break in front of him. just to appeal more manly.

"look!" they multi colored hair boy pointed at the entrance of a public park.

there were colorful flowers and green grass everywhere you turned. the paths were clear and great for walking.

i watched as the younger boy skipped through the arch and towards a bush of pastel purple flowers.

it was like he was a pastel magnet. he bent down, letting me have a good view up his skirt.

it was very tempting to look, but i didn't.

"seokie," i called him.

"hmm?"

"sit nice please, i don't want anyone to see up your skirt." i told him. a pink color rose to his face.

"o-oh.. sorry.."

"it's okay, seok. i'm just looking out for you," i told him, giving him a small smile. he gladly returned it.

"don't you think they're pretty?" hoseok asked, running his finger tips over the petals. i shrugged and sat crisscross next to him.

"they're just flowers," i mumbled.

not once in my life have i ever thought flowers were pretty. they were just.. colorful things that grow out of the ground. i saw hoseok wince. that told me how much he loved them.

i'll keep that in mind.

"but hyung, they're not just flowers." i tilted my head, beckoning him to continue.

"they make it possible so we can breathe. without them, we'd be suffocating," he said.

"seok, there are still trees." i told him.

"yes. but that would make our world kind of boring. always green, brown, and blue, don't you think?" i looked at him. he was trying to make a solid point.

"trees can be colorful, a lot are when-" i cut myself off. oh.

"-when they have flowers on them," he continued for me.

"okay, i get that. but other than color, what's the point?" hoseok turned to face me fully.

"every single flower has a meaning." he said. "they can represent, friendship, hatred, happiness, anything really. including love. that's why they're so common gifts. flowers represent purity in my eyes. if i were to draw a picture of a little girl, i would draw her with a dress that had a flower on it. because she's still young and has so much to discover. so much life yet to live. flowers are one of the first things you memorize from the outside world. because they're so beautiful," hoseok spoke. it's almost like he didn't even have to think. the words just flowed naturally.

"that's.. actually a solid argument." i told him. he smiled.

"i know. i just love flowers," he giggled. "anyways, shall we get going?" he asked before standing up. i nodded.

he held out his hand. i started at it for a second before looking up at him, mouth slightly agape. he nodded. so i reaches out and locked my flights with his.

hoseok pulled me up.

"thanks," i muttered before starting to walk.

hoseok defiantly had a beautiful perspective of things.

everything to me was just... normal. like they had always been there and were nothing special.

but he looks at things like he'd never seen them before. like they had a purpose as if they were people themselves.

and i admired that.

i loved that.
