These are all the writing I've done in my 12th grade English class. Some of them I have already posted like, The Wolf and Happy Ending.
First is The Attic
~Small, cramped, and quite. The only sound is from you heavy breathing form being in there for too long. Warm in the summer and cool in the winter. Balancing your body on two pieces of wood in the small place. Knowing that one misplaced leg and you're falling through the ceiling. Eyes raise to see spider webs dangling in your face. Every breath you take gets recirculated in the dusk mask you wear. Your hot breath flogs you safety glasses hindering you vision. The only light is from the hole you crawled in, and your head lamp. Gloves are on you hand to prevent fiber glass from getting on your skin. The jump suit is tight on your body since you wore you clothe under them for extra protection. You remember trying to get in. Having to carefully lift your body over the air vent without crushing it. You crushed it. They both crushed it. Don't worry though you fixed it later, but you still have to get over it somehow. Good thing you bought 20 feet of the air vent tubing
Two people go in the cramped place. Their body's spread on two piece of the frame wood each. Surrounding a hole one of them cut, they place the lights in. One person goes up with a cable, terrified to go further than normal, for fear of getting stuck. Tears fall from their eyes as they crawl closer to the air vent. Light streams in. They pull their dust mask down and breathe in the cool morning air. The air dry's the tear tracks on their face. It feels as if the walls are closing in on them. They need to finish this quickly, as their breathing quickens. Thankfully they got the jobs done. Crawling back was a different story. You had no way of knowing where to place your legs. Panic set in, as you struggle to find a piece of frame wood. You feel a hand grab your leg. They direct you where to place your legs.
You go to another one. This ones harder to get in. Lifting yourself up in the room, you don't need a jump suit. Yet. You can stand in this one, thou you're a little hunched over. This house is bigger than yours. It hotter up there, even in regular clothing you're already sweating. The smell of the warm summer air and old wood fill your nose. It a comforting smell. This one has a light in it, though you had to fix it twice. You almost electrocuted yourself, since the other one wanted to do it while it was still live. Meaning while the power was still on. Sparks flew as you tried to fix the wire in place. Though it didn't matter, you preferred going under the house. It's much cooler down there.
Second is A Doll house. This a play where we had to create a new ending.
~Children
Torvald Helmer
Maid
Officer
[The children, woken up by the slamming door, walked into the living room. With tried eyes and yawns, they looked around the room to see their mother gone.]
Children- Where's Mummy?
[Helmer, startle by the children's sudden appearance thought of a lie.]
Helmer- Oh, she went away for awhile-
Children- When will she be back?
Helmer- She didn't say-
Children- Is she coming back?
Helmer-Yes, [he paused] yes she will. [Before he got lost in his mind, he sent the children to bed] Now little ones it's far past your bed time.
Children- But-
Helmer- Come now off you go.
[The children slowly walked back to their room, leaving Helmer with his thoughts. Getting up from his chair he walked to his bedroom]
