Chapter 13: No Letting Go

I unpacked my bags and organized everything back in my room. We have already arrived in fairy tail a while ago and I went straight to my dorm room without talking to anyone on the way.

I sighed and hopped on my bed. It's happening. It's really really really happening. I can't believe we are finally together.

A wide grin was suddenly plastered on my face. I stood up and jumped continuously on my bed.

I know, I know. I act like a kid who just got her christmas present. But hey, through it all, you guys knew what had transpired throughout my entire life. From happy beginnings to sad endings, from regrets to right decisions. And I bet, I deserve this little gift. The gift to love and to be loved.

Gray would hopefully be my last. This time, I won't let go. I'll hold onto him even if I had to be a leech. I won't let anyone take him away from me even if I have to chop their ribs!

*knock* *knock*

"Juvia? Are you there?"

This voice. I stood up and walked to my door to open it. "G-gray?"

He was wearing, -I don't know- ...cool clothes? A black leather jacket with a plain white tshirt, his cross necklace around his neck, black jeans, and some rubber shoes. His hair. Woah! Don't even get me started. Okay, stop it Juvia!

He actually looked... more handsome.

He scratched his head. "I was thinking of hanging out- I mean a-"

"-a date." I interrupted. He was having a hard time mentioning it and I believe it won't hurt to help. Not being assuming here people.

"Yeah." He exhaled reliefly. Was it so hard to pronounce it?

"Sure." I smiled. "Just give me a minute." I hurriedly chose a simple baby blue dress with a white jacket and braided my hair to the side. I put on my white wedge before going outside. "Done. Where to?"

He just smirked at me. "Someplace you'll never forget." He intertwined my fingers with his and led my to- I don't know- ...God-knows-where again!

"Okay so this is the last step,... and there! Here we are."

Finally, we're here. He's been taking me anywhere with a blindfold on. Said it's a surprise. He took the blindfold off and led me to see the view.

"Woah. It's... magical." It really is magical. Who have thought that the whole Magnolia has a great view from the top.

Gray led me to a high mountain resort which has some kind of a mini boulevard that can overlook the entire city of Magnolia. It has a benches and light posts all around.

I sat on the bench still looking at the view. Ahh, so breathtaking.

"I never gave you a proper courting,.." I turned to him, he was looking at the view, "... so I thought that this will do. You've always loved the night lights of Magnolia and the way I see it, I think I've made a good decision of bringing you here." He turned and smiled at me.

I smiled at him in return. "You proved me well. I thought that was enough."

"Nothing could be enough for the person I love. If only it was possible, I would have given you the world."

My heart thumped, so hard and so fast that it was about to break apart. He looked so serious. No one has ever made me this happy. With only just those words, I had already turned my back on my second thoughts.

I smiled at him, the best I could. "You have given me enough and you have said to me everything I needed to hear."

He came closer to me and slowly held my face gently. "Will you accept my request then?"

"Of course. Anything."

"Marry me."

It took me a while to respond but, there's no turning back now. I have already given myself to him last night. There's no need for waiting a few weeks, or months, or years. Who cares if they all say it's too early to marry? At least there'd be no letting go anymore.

I smiled at him. "You didn't need to ask." We kissed and made a lifetime promise of never letting go.

"Gray, where's the ring?"
