They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder

So why do they try so hard to mold her

She sits in a corner trying to stand out

But no one notices her single shout

Days go by yet they taunt all she stands for

Broken and bleeding her beauty is hidden at its core

Instead she has a heart of fire, a light exploding in darkness

They stand before her, tearing her down with a list

"You'll never be one of us." They laugh in her face

"That's just fine." She stands tall when they yell disgrace

"You'll never fit in!" They push her around

"At least I'm never fake." She firmly stands her ground

Her body is beaten and broken, stories of a once unseen past

Beauty escapes her physical form, but is rather one that'll last

For it's not on the outside where she hides her secret beauty

But on the inside where is waiting to be seen by those who give up their cruelty

Only those who dare to seek and see who she truly is

Ever get to know the real person everyone will miss

So judge her all you want, just know to this day

She will stand tall and this will she say...

"I am who I am but you all think I'm strange..."

"But it can't be helped, for I will NEVER change."
