Ryder
I woke up at 5 o'clock as usual. I then went for a 3 mile run and then I took a shower and started making breakfast. I made pancakes again. I made 14 pancakes. I started to eat when Grace walked into the kitchen. "Why did you make so many pancakes?" She asked.
"Well you know how I eat. I also didn't know how many you guys ate so I made as many as the box called for. There's 14 here so dig in." I replied.
I continue eating. I finish and then get changed. Grace was about done with her breakfast when I left so I figured she would be done. I walked into the living room and started watching tv. Grace walks in and asks me if I want to go for a swim again. I said that I would like to go. I change and meet her in the living room. We get out to the water and as soon as the waves get big I grab onto her and help her out to the sandbar. She again gives me a peck on the cheek. I smile down at her and then hug her tightly. We play beach volleyball again. But I'm not very good so I just sit and watch. I walked up to her and said "We forgot to tell Alex where we were going.I will swim back and tell him and then I will be right back here as fast as possible. Is that okay?"
"Yeah that's fine."
"If you don't feel comfortable you can come with. It's not a problem."
"No it's okay. Just hurry back some of these guys about our age look a little creepy. So please just hurry."
"Don't worry I will beautiful." I then swam away as fast as possible. I got back to the house and then I wrote Alex a note saying we were on the sandbar and that we would be back later. I put it on the table next to the pancakes. Then I started swimming back as fast as possible. When I got close I heard yelling. I swam faster. Then I got up and ran towards the commotion. I saw a guy chasing no one other than Grace. I ran towards them and just as he raised his hand, I grabbed his arm. I said "I suggest you don't ever raise a hand against a lady again or I will hunt you down and put you in a damn hospital for a year."
"Oh no I'm so scared." Said the asshole who tried to hit Grace. Grace walked up to me and put her hand on my shoulder. I turned to her. She said "Ryder come on let's just go. Please. Don't do this, I don't want you to get hurt."
"Don't worry I've been in fights before I will be fine baby. This pretty boy couldn't do anything to me." Says the ass that tried to hurt her.
"I wasn't talking to you dick."
"Oh you little-"
"I wouldn't finish that sentence if I were you."
"Oh what are you gonna do pretty boy?"
"This." I throw a punch at his face. He tried to block it but his reaction was slowed due to the alcohol in his system. Then his buddies joined in and it was 7 against 1 including the guy on the ground. I had an advantage though because I was trained to fend off multiple attackers. I dodged the hits and kicks coming my way. All of them wound up on the ground with bruises covering the faces and abdomens. The guy that tried to hit Grace tried to hit me and I squeezed his fist and the guy screamed in pain. I drove my knee into the guys groin then his stomach and finally his face. Once he was knocked out I turned and crushed Grace to my chest. She mumbled "Thanks so much. I knew you'd come. I was waiting for you to come. But you're forgetting that I've had to take hits before."
"Yeah I know but I will not stand for a man hitting a woman."
"Well thank you for always being a gentleman Ryder. It means a lot. But we should probably get back huh? We have to get ready for the beach party later."
"Yeah we probably should and okay."
We start to swim back and like yesterday I grab Graces hand and I don't let it go until we get to shore. She stops me from walking and runs up and hugs me tightly and I respond right away hugging her tightly in return. We stand there for a while until she pulls away and says that we should get ready. I drape my arm over her shoulder and she leans into me. I say "Please keep your promise to stay close to either me or Alex at all of the beach parties we go to."
"Yes I promise but to be honest I will probably stay close to you way more than Alex."
"I'm perfectly okay with that. This might be weird but I like you Grace. You're sweet, kind, funny, caring. Honestly you're everything I want in a girl and more." She doesn't say anything and leans up and kisses me. Then we continued walking back to the house. Then we went our separate ways to get changed. I took a shower and got dressed in a red t shirt and dark wash jeans. I also put on flip flops and walked into the living room and saw Alex already there. I talked to him for a little bit. Then Grace walked out and we all walked down to the beach. We all got something to drink. Grace got a red solo cup and poured a coke in it. I gave her a weird look, she told me it was because she would tell people that it was a rum and coke. Then we talked for a little bit. All of the sudden Grace grabbed me and started dancing with me. We grinded for a long time. Then I went to get something to drink. I told her to stay where she was. She did. Then I went to get something to drink. I just got a rum& coke. I quickly finished my drink and started walking back towards where I left Grace. Then I heard "Ryder help me!" I saw Grace running towards me. I reached out and grabbed her wrist. As the guy got closer I pulled her behind my back. The guy then said "Hey! I was dancing with her! She is going to dance with me!"
"Does she want to dance with you?"
The guy says "yes" at the same time she said "hell no".
"Well then I don't think I'm going to let her dance with you."
"What are you going to do about it pretty boy?"
"Do I really have to go through this twice in one day? This." With that said I punch the guy in the stomach twice and the face once. When I punch him all three times I hear a crack. Just what my Drill Instructors would have wanted. Then I say "Get up and leave with whatever pride and dignity you have left." Then I grab two sodas and walk with Grace down the beach a ways. Once I feel satisfied that I won't go back there and beat the crap out of the guys again, I sit down. Then I say "Twice in one day! Wow where would you be with out me?"
"I honestly don't want to think about it." I asked her if she was okay and she assured me that she was. Then she said that I didn't always have to save her. I replied with "It's in the job description."
We grinned at each other for a minute then I pulled her under my arm and we talked for awhile. We talked about how I always had to save her. I just shrugged it off. Then we decided to go back to the party. This time we didn't leave each others sides. We talked and danced for a few more hours. We then decided to find Alex and go back home. We found him just as he was about to open another beer. I convinced him to put it down. Then we started walking back home. Alex was stumbling so I put my arm around him to keep him from falling over. When we got back to the house I put him in his room. I walked back into the living room. Grace and I cuddled on the couch. We watched the last song. By the time the movie was over it was one in the morning. We went our separate ways to go into our rooms. I changed and fell asleep right away.
