He was found by the litter bins, looking for scraps
The poor little mite was so thin
He'd been left all alone and didn't know why
He was so innocent, this was a sin
The giants had scared him, they chased him away
He whimpered and tried to hide
His only safe haven was under a bridge
Where he shivered and wept and cried.
As he passed, people stared but they didn't help
Just shooed him away and went on with their day
All he wanted was food and someone who'd love
He'd be so grateful, if they looked his way.
"At last ", he thought,my saviours are here, his brown eyes lit up so bright
The poor doggy, his tail quickly wagged with glee
His rescuers picked him up and stroked his fur
You're safe now, don't fret, you're free!
