I wake up to Happy's voice. 'He liiikes you!' I groan and roll over, putting the pillow on top of my head, it's way too early to be awake. My mind wanders as I lay in bed...but then I remember! They're opening up the Ice arena today! I haven't been skating since I was a little girl! I hop out of bed, and quickly throw on my usual outfit, get my keys, and am out the door.
In my hurry, I run into Levy. 'Oh! Hi Lucy! It's a little early for you to be up, don't you think?' she asks with a smile.
'Ueah, I guess it's because of the new rink!'
'You're excited? I'm dreading it! I'm sorry to say, but I suck at skating. I don't think I'll be going.'
'Aw, Levy, c'mon, it won't be the same without you!' I beg.
She rolls her eyes at me. 'I'll think about it. Anyway, how's your book coming along? You'd better still be working on it! I want to be the first to read your master piece!'
'It's almost done, actually. Just a few more days, I think, and I'll have it finished!'
She smiles, 'I can't wait '
We make small talk on the way to the guild, but as soon as we enter it, Jet and Droy tear hear away from me, claiming to need her for 'classified team business.' I smile and wave goodbye to her, then make my way to my usual seat at the bar. But, my seat is taken, and it's taken by a pink-haired someone.
'Natsu, stand up!' I demand. Quickly, he jumps up from the chair and turns to face me. 'Hi Lucy! You ready for tonight? It's going to be lotsa fun!'
As the words spill out of his mouth ,a shirtless Gray stands by him, 'And, you know, pyro, that normally, at an ice arena there's, you know, ice?'
'Yeah, I'm not stupid. And would you get some clothes on. perv!'
Gray looks down, and, as usual exclaims, 'Shoot!' and runs away, supposedly to put some clothes on.
Natsu turns towards me, 'So are you? Looking forward to tonight, I mean.'
I miles,'Yeah! It's going to be so much fun! I used to take lessons when I was younger, but I haven't been on the ice since.'
Just then, Mira popped up, 'Just in from the arena, there's going to be a "Boy's Choice Snowball," so hopefully all of you know who you want to go with!'
I nod, tonight's going to be so much fun! As I'm wondering if anybody's going to ask me, I remember about Sorcerer Weekly. 'Hey, Mira,' I begin, 'do you happen ot have the latest edition of Sorcerer Weekly? The bookstore's all out.'
'Oh, sorry, Lucy! I gave my last copy to Cana, she wanted to try some of the alcohol recipes.'
It's funny how quickly one can get a mood change. I sigh and say, 'It's fine, Theres's always the next issue.'
Something moves besides me, and I realize Natsu's still sitting next to me. Somethings off, though, his face is pinker than his hair. 'Hey, Natsu? Whats wrong?' I ask.
I would have never thought it possible, but he turns even pinker. 'Uh, nothing. I-I'm just holding my breath!' he smiles and nods.
'Okay, that's weird,' I say, 'anyways, are you looking forward to tonight? I think its going to be fun!'
Natsu suddenly stands up. 'I gotta go!' he practically yells, and runs away. I exchange a glance with Mira, but she just chuckles and walks away. I shake my head, this guild is totally weird, but I love it here!
