Short introduction, tell me what you think!

Angelina smiled to herself as she set her timer for 20 minutes. She looked into her oven, admiring her cookies. They were simple, flower shaped cookies; not much, but after she finished assembling them, they would make the cutest little springtime cookies.
*ding* Angelina ran out to her counter to serve her customer. Just as she exited the kitchen, a voice called out to her. "Hey, A!"
Angelina smiled as she wiped her hands with a purple dish towel. "Hey, J!"
Joanne and Angelina had been best friends since they could remember. They went through school together and des, they were still the best of friends. Now, they co-owned a little bakery in New York.
"What do you need help with?"Joanne asked, slipping on her pastel pink apron and tying a bow at the back.
"Well, I just put the empire cookies in the oven, so I'll need to prep the jam and the cherries. Can you cut the cherries?"
"Sure." Joanne replied, grabbing a knife from the holster and opening the bin of glacee cherries and grabbing a few out.
The small bakery was quiet as the two worked. Only the ticking of the clock and the light thump the knife made as it made contact with the cutting board.
*BEEP BEEP* The sound rang through the silence, both heads shooting up in surprise. Angelina dropped her tools and ran to the kitchen. She slipped on her oven mitts and removed the cookies from the oven, putting them on a rack to cool.
"Mmm... Those smell so good, A!" Joanne exclaimed, rushing into the kitchen to see the source of the scent. Reaching out to grab one, her hand was abruptly slapped away.
"No!" Angelina cried. "They're still hot! I'm surprised you still haven't learnt that, J!"
Joanne smiled sheepishly, looking down and rubbing where she had been smacked. "Sorry."
Taking a deep breath, Angelina grinned. "It's okay, J. And sorry, too. I shouldn't have yelled. If you want a cookie, you can take a cooled one." Angelina took two trays off the rack and offered them to Joanne.
Joanne beamed and took one, savouring the buttery biscuit. "Oh my gosh, A. You never fail to amaze me. These cookies are the bomb!"
Angelina grinned. "Why, thank you." She said in a fake British accent, curtsying.
Joanne laughed. "You're wel-" *ding* Their little moment was interrupted by the jingling of the bell above the door, signaling that someone had arrived. The two marched out of the kitchen to see a man in his mid-twenties standing at the counter. He was quite the attractive one; with his bright blue eyes and his messy brown hair. Angelina recognized him immediately as-
"Hi, boyfriend!" Joanne ran around the counter, embracing Aaron in a hug.
Aaron smiled. "Hey there, girlfriend. Oh, and hi, Angel." He added teasingly, winking at her.
Angelina rolled her eyes. "Keep the flirting to your girlfriend, Ron-ron." She knew he hated that name, he knew that she knew. She would use it every time he tried flirting with her, not that it was weird, it was typical of him. Aaron grinned cheekily and went back to leaving his girlfriend small kisses on her nose.
Angelina groaned. "Guys. Would you please stop with your PDA? I've had enough with my mother telling me to get a boyfriend. I definitely do not need you guys rubbing in my loneliness."
Joanne pulled away and turned to Angelina. "It's okay, babe! You still have me!"
Aaron pouted. "But, does that mean I'm going to be deserted?"
"Definitely. I mean, you are in a bakery." Joanne beamed, obviously proud of her own joke.
Angelina sighed. This is going to be a long day.
