1: The Entrance Exam

Let in to UA on recomendation, was I? Well, I thought as I stared up at the gates in front of me, I'll show them just how good I was at what I did...

I was greatful ahead of time to the teachers for letting me try out with all the other would be students despite the fact that, not only did I get in on recomendation, but that I was also a foreigner. All around me were these hopeful faces, everyone there wanted to get in to the hero course, but only 40 of us would, and they knew that. When the gates opened they all sprinted in, but I waited till everyone else had entered before running in. I would easily pull ahead anyway.

The premise of the entrance exam was easy, there was a written portion a few days ago on the basics and theory and the next day was the practical exam. There would be several giant robots that we had to take down, the bigger and harder to fjght the targets were the more points we were awarded.

Glancing down at my ring for good luck I ran in to join the fray, only to come across a "villain" almost as soon as I stepped foot inside the now open gates. In front of the thing looking for all his life like he didn't know what he was doing was a short, green haired boy. I could see him starting to run, but the robot decided to chase him. And so what did I do? I took chase of the robot, naturally. Running at what would be considered a normal speed I managed to get close enough to stick to the thing, from there I climbed to the top of it and willed it to stop. When the thing collapsed underneath me and, consequently on top of the boy, I jumped down and pulled him out from where he had been trapped beneath the belly of the beast. Scooping him into my arms I ran at a building, running up the side of it and placing him down on the roof. He could get down easily if he so chose to, but I figured being up there might help him clear his head and figure out his next move.

"Hey, thanks!" The boy exclaimed "My name's Izuku Midoriya!"
"The name's Smith. Briella Smith." I said back, nodding at him in recognition "Are you okay? You're not to badly bruised or anything?"
"No, I'm okay," Izuku assured me with a small smile

I smiled back at him and gave him a quick wink before jumping straight off the edge of the roof top. Landing on the concrete below with bent knees I turned around to look at Izuku who was still on the roof, looking over the edge all concerned like. Before I ran off I gave him a thumbs up and then turned away to face down my next robot victim.

Four, five, six... One robot after the next robot. With a quirk like mine it was almost as if they were setting me up to get in! But it was the same thing they had done year after year and so I knew that that wasn't the case.

As I shut down robot victim after robot victim and ran down random street after random street on the tipy tip toes of my specially made sneakers turned pointe shoes I was singing another one bites the dust under my breath in English. When I rounded the corner I saw that Izuku was pulling a girl out of the rubble of a robot, only his arm was all bloofied and broken up. Most likely broken, my head told me. I was just watching with a smile as Izuku and the girl helped each other out of the mess that they had gotten themselves into when I noticed something that they hadn't... Another robot, just like the one they had just faught, was right behind them.

"IZUKU!" I screamed "WATCH OUT DUDE!"

Izuku turned to look at me, his face puzzled at my words. It was almost as if he hadn't understood them! Acting on instinct I ran and dove between Izuku and the girl he was helping, flinging whatever apendage out towards the robot that I could. The second it touched me it fell to the ground, and I fell just in front of it, panting.

"Izuku," I started, rolling over to a sitting position "Are you okay? Are either of you hurt?"
"Smith?" He asked "I don't... I don't understand what you're saying..."

I blinked a couple of times as his words twisted their way into my mind. Slowly but surely I translated them for myself, before laughing at my own slip up.

"Sorry," I said, this time in the correct language "I was just asking if both of you were okay."
"We're fine, thanks to you," The girl said "My name is..."

But before she could say anything the buzzer went off, and if that wasn't enough of an indicator the voice of pro hero Present Mic rang out loud and clear telling us that it was time to get out of the arena and back to the gates. The girl, whose name I still didn't know, noticing that he was starting to get jelly legs, put one of Izuku's arms around her shoulders. I put the other around mine and together we helped him get around the robots and back to the front gates, where some of the twachers now stood around. The school nurse, pro hero Recovery Girl was with them and the minute she saw Izuku's arm she came rushing over.

"Aww, wasn't it sweet of you girls to help this poor boy," she practically cooed "He's hurt pretty bad, but this won't take long."

With a kiss to his arm Izuku seemed fine amd was told to go home, with others already leaving all around us. I looked around, hanging back just a little behind the others. And so was the girl, I notices.

"We should go home now too," I said with a shrug "It was nice meeting you though!"
"It was nice meeting you too!" The girl explained before she started to walk away, only to stop and turn around as if she had forgotten something "Oh! My name is Ochaco Uraraka."
"My name is Brielle Smith!" I said with a smile, waving as I watched her go

With that I headed back to the not yet unveiled to the public doorms, where I had graciously been offered a stay at since I had entered the country.
