Chapter 8

Madi's POV

I wake up in Grays arms lethargic and happy. Looking up at his face I remember the events from last night. No, we did not have sex. After we marked each other, Grayson held me in his arms for a little while longer and then we had a romantic dinner in bed while watching The Notebook. Gray is so whipped.

"Grayson, wake up baby, it's already noon." I say, but of course he just groans.

"Gray."

Poke.

"Gray"

Poke.

"Gray."

Poke.

"What do you want!?!" he moans

"Get up." I scowl at him

"No." he says

"You are such a pain in the ass! I'm gonna start sleeping with Mason if you keep this morning routine up." I say which instantly make him start growling and pull my body closer to his.

"No. The only person you are allowed to sleep with is me." he growls out possessively, as his eyes turn darker and his wolf starts to surface.

"I won't be sleeping with you anytime soon." I snort.

"If you want to finish the mating process, we'll have to." he says with a smirk

"Whatever." I say as I get up off the bed and grab my clothes from my suitcase.

Even though it's summertime, the weather here is still cooler than in Cali, so I put on some simple denim capris and a white v-neck T-shirt. Throwing on my turquoise converse, I walk downstairs and get some cereal out. gray joins me at the kitchen counter and gives me a kiss on the forehead.

"I have some pack business to deal with, but I'm gonna be home in time to talk you out to dinner so be ready at 6." he tells me

"Okay babe. I love you. See you later." I say to him.

"I love you too. Oh, and Mason is gonna take you and Rachel to the mall, so you can get clothes. Bye baby." he says before walking out.

I finish my breakfast and go searching for Rachel. I find her in what must be hers and Dylans bedroom on the same floor as Gray's and mine's room.

"Guess where we're going today, Rach?" I yell with a smile.

"The mall?" she asks with an excited smile.

"Yep." I squeal

'Hey guys, are you ready to go?" we turn around when we hear Mason's voice.

"Yeah, lets go." I say

Mason drives us to the mall and then tails us as we go throughout all the stores. We go to all our favorite stores like Forever 21, JcPenney's, and Macy's. Rach and I only have summer-y clothes so we buy all works and get multiple pairs of jeans, sweatshirts, and new shoes. Our final stop is at Victoria's Secret where Rachel forces me to buy some new lacy underwear-bra sets and a couple of pairs of thongs and t-backs. Blushing furiously when Mason sees the bags, I quickly throw them into the car.

When we get back home, I only have about an hour and half to get ready. Jumping in the shower, I wash my hair and body quickly. I get out and wrap my hair and body in towels. Walking over to the shopping bags from today, I put on some of the lingerie that I bought today. While I was shopping today, Rach and I went dress shopping, where I got my dress for tonight. My dress is a simple turquoise-ish dress with a floral print, I pair the dress with some nude platform pumps. I curl my brown locks into flowing waves, and do my makeup with a natural tone.

Walking downstairs, I can hear Gray talking to Dylan, all I can make out though is 'king" and "rogues", which makes me curious. Shaking off my curiosity, I go up to Gray and give him a hug and kiss.

"Hey babe." he smiles down at me.

"I missed you." I murmur into his chest.

"You haven't seen me in like, what, 5 hours, and you miss me?" he says with a chuckle.

"You'r right. I don't think I really missed you after all. Jackass." I mutter

He just laughs and grabs my hand, leading me out the front door towards his car.

"You look beautiful baby." He says while looking into my eyes.

"Thanks, you don't look half bad yourself." I tell him with a grin

We get to the restaurant and get seated in an intimate corner.

"Gray, what were you and Dylan talking about before we left. Something about "king" and "rogues"?" I ask

His eyes go black and his curt reply is "Nothing"

"Gray, I thought we are equals! How will I be able to protect our pack and be a great Luna if you won't tell me our threats?" I question him

He just sighs "Look everything is just rumors but apparently there is some guy out there with a pack of rogues that is calling himself the King of Rogues."

"That's all you had to say. It hurts me that you don't trust me enough to tell me these things." I say sadly

"It's not that I don't trust you babe, it's just that I just got you, and I felt like if I were to tell you what was happening then it'd make everything come true, and I honestly don't know what I would do without you." he tells me sincerely

I smile at him and lean over and press my lips to his, but before it gets too passionate I pull away. We finish our dinner with a round of twenty questions so that we can get to know each other better.
