8 hours away from you

The Present

After 12 years of having a major crush on Jessica I finally gave up, I cleared all the thoughts of her, I don't talk to her anymore or anything..... Shes completely gone... I guess she's still my neighbour and all and we occasionally see each other but that's normal.... Right? I don't know.

So I had just woken up because I had to get ready for our first day back to school. The holidays were finally over and to be honest.... I'm glad that they are over, I didn't really spend that much time with my friends because of my job at the pizza store. I thought that the store could get Jessica off my mind but guess what? She goes there occasionally with her and her family. I mean I work at the back so it's not like they would end up seeing me.

"Hey Justin bro come and look at this idiot here. He and his girlfriend are apparently 'in love' ha yeah right" said my best friend jacob.

" jacob I don't even know why you care about them I mean it's not that big of a deal besides she's your ex so who cares"i said to him

All he gave me was a pointed somewhat angry look but yet it was still sad...... Like he missed her. And I can tell he did miss her.

Anyways so I leave him to be all sad alone and I head to my locker where I get greated by the school sluts...... Jessie, Natalie and matilda.

Matilda was the leader she had black hair and a bunch of makeup on her face. She literally looked like a cake but yet all the "boys would be all over her" well.... That's literally what she said.

"heyyy Justin you cute little man"

Ugh why can't she leave me alone.

"heyy matilda" I said in quite annoyed tone.

"sooooo i'm having a party later and I was hoping you could come?" as she said that she trased her fingers up and down my shirt.

"yeah no thanks matilda, that's just another one of your tricks to get me in bed with you..... And let me tell you now, it's not gonna happen"

"pfft suit yourself but one day Justin, I will get you in bed" she said that as she sent me a wink.

I couldn't of been more disgusted.

"yooo Justin I cannot believe that this is your last year here man!! I'm gonna miss you bro"

"aha I'll miss you too bro"

"yeah like... Who will help me bring more beer to the parties, and you won't be able to keep the drinking record man 20 drinks under 10 minutes like bro come on don't leave".

"no sorry dude but I have to leave...."

"you're leaving?". I turn around to see the most beautiful creature I've ever seen.... It was Jessica.

"y-yeah I uh... I have to move to to Australia because my grandmother who lives there is sick so we have to go there to take care of her"i said in an apologetic tone.

" oh.... O...okay uh well have fun. I guess"

"yeah I uh.... Yeah I will. Hey sorry for not telling you I feel terrible but everytime I went to tell you, you were busy".

"oh that's my fault I'm so sorry."

At that exact moment that school bell rang.... Great just my luck!!.

Okay maybe I still have a crush on her but what was a supposed to do she just kept getting cuter and cuter every year.

Math seemed to go on for hours, typical the last subject and it goes forever and I also have football training after school so that's just great.

I was suddenly pulled from my thoughts because Jacob decided to add me in his conversation he was having with Dylan who was a childhood friend of mine.

"this idiot thinks that playstation is better than xbox bro tell him he's wrong" oh great not this again the whole 'what's better xbox or playstation argument'.

Ugh I need new friends I said to myself, jacoub and Dylan were both looking at me waiting for a response all I said was "pfft I don't care you two sort it out yourselves".

And so I left then two to argue with themselves which by the way goes for a very long time, sometimes they'd argue for the entire period just to end it with no one winning like how pathetic.

Football practice went for ages as well which made things even worse because it was really hot outside and we were just constantly running laps around the field and tackling each other. I still love football but because it wasn't just my favorite game.... It was also my parents favorite game. We used to go to tons of them before.... You know everything went bad.

After football I was so happy to get back home. As soon as I got home I went and hopped straight into the shower quietly avoiding my uncle and aunty. I have nothing against them it's just that they ask way too many questions about how my day was, and to be fair I didn't really want to talk I was still tired from football practice.

Which I thought they wouldve understood but clearly not.

Ayways after my shower I quickly got dry and put on some nice sweat pants and a sweater because even if it's hot outside my uncle and aunt still have a really cold house.

It's all because of that's stupid aircon, man I hate it but like.... If I destroy it then the house would be really hot and I don't want to deal with heat.

Anyways after a very silent, boring and cringe worthy dinner I went to bed.... With a full stomach I flopped onto the bed almost making myself vomit...... I'm so glad I didn't.
