Alyssa awoke the following day having forgotten about the previous night's events. The magical electricity that had been in the air the previous night had dimmed to a light buzz but not without leaving a sunflower-shaped mark on her cheek, too covered up for anyone to notice.

After a quick breakfast, Alyssa did her normal routine before setting out to collect some herbs in the nearby forest.

She hummed a merry tune making all the birds follow her like bees attracted to honey. She shook her head and let out a little snort at the cliché scene but could not help the happy sigh that escaped her plump lips. Slowly, she smiled, wallowing in the serene atmosphere of the woods.

As she walked along the narrow path picking flowers, the birds dove into her basket, each putting a vermillion flower into her silky chestnut hair. She happily tucked them in farther and continued walking.

After a while, she stopped at a cherry tomato tree and sat in in the shade to take a breather. Alyssa happily sank into the soft surface and closed her eyes. The slight rumbles of the surface gave out a pleasant vibe.

Suddenly, Alyssa paused and took a moment to think. 'Since when did the ground rumble?' A feeling of dread weighed down on her and she jumped to her feet, staring at the over sized sabre tooth with dilated pupils.

The ferocious mammal approached her and she backed away rapidly. Her heart hammered away in her chest and she willed her legs to run.

It seemed as though luck had turned away from her as she tripped over thin air, twisting her ankle. The beast towered over her and she squeezed her eyes shut, not willing to meet her demise. A sudden thump rang through the ambience and a whimper followed. The excruciating pain of her twisted ankle slammed into her at full-force and she felt herself losing consciousness.

"Hello? Hello!? Anyone there?" Alyssa felt a light flick on her forehead before her eyes fluttered open. She let out a groan before sitting up. A sharp pain shot through her leg making her wince and reach down to ease the aching. The face of a girl popped up in front of her and curiously gazed at her with striking blue eyes.

"Phew! You're finally awake. Who knows what would have happened if I didn't reach here on time!" She moved away from Alyssa's face leaving her exposed to the blinding sunlight. Reacting hastily, she covered her visage and hissed in discomfort.

"Oh! Let me help you with that," muttered the mysterious girl. She stretched her hand out to Alyssa leaving her perplexed but all her doubts washed away and were replaced by a soothing sensation that travelled through her body.

The girl had placed a small glowing orb of sorts that had a rich sapphire color. Alyssa could only stare in awe as all her pain ebbed away.

When she seemingly finished, she pulled away and gave Alyssa a bright smile and said, "Hello, my name is Sapphire Blues. I was walking around and saw you in danger. Are you okay?"

Alyssa tried to speak but all that came out were incoherent mumbling. She snapped out of her trance and realized she was staring, "O-oh, sorry, my name is Alyssa Larzeni, a-and I'm totally fine!"

"That's nice," said Sapphire before an awkward silence engulfed the vicinity. Sapphire cleared her throat and spoke up, "Well, I got-"she was cut off by a loud growl. The two girls froze as two similar beasts to the previous ones approached them. Alyssa could feel her heart threatening to break her ribcage the closer the animals got. Looking to her side, Sapphire was frozen in fear.

Abruptly, Alyssa stood up with renewed courage and stared down at the beasts. Her hair floated magestically around her.

Raising her hand, she pointed it towards the beast and muttered,"Fairy sphere," a shield formed around Alyssa and Sapphire just as the beast rammed into it. The shield deactivated and Alyssa murmured something as an orb similar to the previous night's flew towards the mammal.
