Rosie POV
A few days later
"Arthur remember to lock the door!" Azalea yelled at Arthur.
"Lilly sit in between Daisy and Rosie".
"Why mom? I like the window seat".
"Lilly! We don't want them to fight again. Now go and sit between them".
We all got inside the car. Dad locked the house door and came into the car too.
Mom looked at the house and said "Next time we see this house, it's going to be like brand new".
Dad started the car and we drove off.
I looked outside the window and felt really tired. I knew the ride would be long, so I slowly closed my eyes, trying to fall asleep.

"We're here" Arthur suddenly said.
I stopped reading and looked out of the window. There it was, our cottage. We have had it since I was 2 years old. We spend almost every summer here and it was one of the best places where I had the most amazing memories with my sisters and parents. The cottage was just priceless. The beautiful nature, the birds singing, the sun shining and the flowers blooming, the feeling was just indescribable.
I got out of the car and instantly felt the fresh air on my face, whilst the wind blowing through my hair. It was the best feeling ever. I've always had a strong bond and emotional connection with nature. The peacefulness calmed my heart, the wind made me feel free, the forest movements made me connect with the environment and the stillness made me connect with my soul. I felt like I was escaping, from myself, from everyone, from the world. It was like...
"Rosie? Hello?"
"H...huh? What?" I mumbled while coming back to reality.
"Are you going to give me a hand?" dad asked.
I nodded and helped him with the luggage.
We went inside and put the luggage in the hallway.
"So like when was the last time someone cleaned here?" Lilly joked.
"Don't rush Lilly you're going to clean tomorrow" Azalea replied.
"Oh umm no thank you".
Arthur chuckled.
"I'm going to get groceries," Azalea told Arthur.
"Can I come with you?" I asked.
Azalea hesitated at first.
"Sure" she replied after a few seconds without looking at me.
We got into the car and drove off. Since our cottage was in the middle of nowhere, the nearest town was like 45 minutes away.
* * *
The car ride was long and boring. I was so ashamed of my actions a few days ago that I didn't want to start any conversation with my mom. I knew she felt the same way towards me.
We finally arrived at the supermarket. Mom took a shopping cart and we went inside.
She was choosing fruits and put them into the cart when I finally decided to break the silence.
"Mom?" I asked.
Silence.
"Look I know you're mad at me because of the accident a few days ago and I'm terribly sorry" I said but she just ignored me and walked down to the milk aisle.
"I know how important the surgery project in India was for you two. My action was stupid and selfish, I shouldn't have done it, both attacking Daisy and the party"
She was still silent and moved to the bread aisle.
"I'm sorry mom!" I lifted my voice a little and she stopped immediately walking, her back facing me.
"I'm really sorry, please forgive me, I can't stand the way you're treating me. Please mom, I'll never do it again, please forgive me already" I apologized while few tears came down.
She didn't say anything. I looked down at the floor thinking that she'll never forgive me. Suddenly I feel her two hands pulling me into her warm chest.
"Oh, min älskade. Jag är verkligen ledsen också" she said while hugging me at the same time. (Oh my love, I am so sorry too in English)
I hugged her back with a smile on my lips.
She let me go and said "go and get a potato bag, we're going to make köttbullar och potatismos today". (Meatballs and potato mash in English)
I nodded with a smile and left her. She forgave me, she finally forgave me, I thought while smiling.
I got to the vegetable aisle, took a bag of potatoes and put it on my lap. It was heavy but I still managed to carry it. While walking back to my mother the bag slowly slipped out of my hands. I stopped for a moment and raised it again on my lap and turned from the corner. Whilst looking down I suddenly stumbled into a huge muscled chest and the potato bag slipped from my lap onto the ground. I squatted and picked it up.
"Are you okay?" a masculine voice said.
"Yeah I'm fine" I said while squatting and lifting up the potato bag.
"Beautiful?"
I stood up, the potato bag on my lap again and raise my eyes to him.
"Why are you always crying when we bump into each other?" he said while laughing a little.
"Excuse me?"
"Who manages to hurt you so quick?" he asked with a smirk.
"Umm do I know you?"
"You don't remember me?
"No...should I?" I questioned.
He chuckled.
"I'm Lucas" he said while reaching his hand towards me waiting for me to give him a handshake.
I stayed silent and looked at his hand and then back to him.
"And I'm leaving" I said while walking past him.
I heard him chuckle but didn't turn my back to him. Who is that creep, I thought.
* * *
The ride back to the cottage was different than the ride to the supermarket. Me and my mom both made jokes, laughed and gossiped to each other like we were best friends.
We finally arrived home. I was so hungry my stomach made noises. We both got the groceries and went inside, putting the groceries on to the kitchen table.
"What are we going to eat today?" Arthur asked while hugging Azalea from the back.
"Köttbullar och potatismos" Azalea answered.
"Oh we're going traditional today? I like it" he said while giving Azalea a few kisses on her neck.
I smiled and kept unpacking the groceries. Shorty after I hear a few knocks on our door. I looked at my parents, they were too busy with exploring each other (if you know what I mean) so I decided to open the door.
"I'll get it"
I went towards the door. I turn the handle, open the door and lift my gaze up to see who it is.
My eyes widened after they met with the persons eyes who was standing in front of me. I instantly froze and was unable to move from my position while my heartbeat fastened slowly. Somehow I managed to let a word out of my mouth.
"You..." I mumbled.
