"In the name of Allah, The benificient, The merciful"

IMAN:

So, many teen muslims nowdays tend to brush away religion and prefer to just mess around. And alot of the time I don't blame them. A teen myself, sometimes i just have the urge to just go out there and have fun all the time, not pray my salah, not read quran or anything like that. But then, when i start to really think long and hard about it, being muslim and not following the rules are not mutually exclusive.

As muslim girls, we need to get this one thing straight. This life was never meant to be forever, it was never "YOLO". It's a test. As you can obviously tell, everything ends. And sad but definate truth is all life must come to an end. From the moment you were born, your clock had started ticking. And i get this topic maybe depressing but you have to think about it, if you we really open our eyes to the wider reality, and see that this whole world is just an illusion, our hearts will open up and will automiaticaly, without question, be guided once again. Allah tells us not to get attached to this world for a reason, because it will come to an end, This world only produced temporary happiness and permanent pain, nothing lasts.

So, how does having iman come into this topic?

As muslims we were commanded to:

-Pray 5x a day

-Decleration of faith

-Fast

-Hajj

-Zakah (Charity)

But what else can we do to increase our iman.

So as we know, having iman can strengthen ones spirituality and connection to Allah. It helps them get through dailty difficulties, minor or major.

Way on improving your Iman:

1. READ THE QURAN

There is no dought, the quran is the ultimate way on to helping increase your iman and be rewarded in great numbers. Reading the quran daily is so important because it is the direct word of Allah. It can help us understand the wider world, increase our faith and is technically dhikr (remembering allah). In fact, when you read the quran, The shaytans in your house escape and the angels come in to listen to you reading, thats why you feel at peace and filled with tranquility when you read the divine words of Allah (SWT).

2. DHIRK

Doesn't matter where or when, dhikr can bring great rewards by just uttering them. When you get into the constant habbit of remebering Allah, you will notice how at peace you feel in whatever situation. Saying , "subhanallah" or "astagfurullah" will increase your iman, and will raise your rewards. Isn't that great?

3. PERFORM SALAH DAILY

Now i'm not going sugar coat anything, but lets be honest, alot of us do not pray salah or miss prayers inbetween, making excuses such as:

-At work

-At school

-Forgot

As muslims we need to break this habbit and take our salah seriosusly, but the first thing Allah is going to ask us on Judgement day is SALAH. Salah is so important as muslims because we are building a stronger connection to Allah everyday. We need to ask him, pray to him so that he forgives our sins and help us get through any difficulties we are in.

4. REMEMBER DEATH AND THE HEREAFTER

Death is such an uncomfortable topic, but do you want to cure your weak iman? Think about death. If you see yourself sinning and not repenting, think about if you were to die now, how will you stand before allah, what excuse will you give him as to why you didn't pray? Why you sinned and never repented?

"Every soul shall taste death"

If you go to Allah prepared and doing good, repenting etc, Allah will be pleased with you and you will be pleased. So remember death, that you never know when it will be your turn.

Salam xx
