I leapt off of my bike, running through the halls of the school. It was my first day at a new high school and I was already going to be late! I skidded to halt outside the door to my class, slowly opening the door to let out a sigh of relief when I realized school hadn't started yet. Suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder, as I turned I saw I man who must be my new sensei. "You must be the new student?" he asked "Yup!" I replied with a cheesy smile. He walked passed me into class and I followed behind him, "Hello class, today we have a new student. Introduce yourself." "Hi, I'm Kyosuke, Kotoe, but you can just call me Kotoe! I just moved here from Tokyo" I said bowing at ninety-degrees. "You can go sit beside Naruko, Kyosuke." sighs the teacher. As I sat down a boy with red spiky hair you I asume to be Naruko said enthusiastically "I'm Naruko! Nice to meet you Kotoe-chan! Do you like biking?" his question slightly caught me off guard but I responded with a quick yes. After that encounter I zoned out for the rest of class. I waited for other students to clear out as the bell for lunch rang until I noticed the energetic redhead from earlier call my name. "Hey! Kotoe-chan! want to join me and my friends for lunch?" "Sure, I guess, I mean I don't really have any friends yet." And so we headed out, I followed him until he stopped outside a building that a bunch of bikes out front. "Here we are! Welcome to the bicycle racing club room!" exclaimed Naruko excitedly. "Oi! Naruko! Who's that?" yelled a tall black haired dude. "Oh! Hotshot! This is Kotoe-chan! She's new to our school! Kinda like me! - Kotoe-chan this is Imaizumi, but you can just call him hotshot." "H-hi! I'm Onoda, Sakamichi! I-it's a pleasure to meet you!" stuttered a boy with glasses. "It's nice to meet you to!" I said cheerfully. I maneuvered my way around the club until I found a place to sit, and pulled out my bento. "Wow! Did you make that yourself Kotoe-chan?" "Huh? Ya! I did, Naruko-san!" I quickly ate my bento before pulling out the booklet that named all of the clubs, immediately looking for a STRIDE club, only to find none, as well as no female volleyball team. At the back of the booklet it said that you had to have at least 3 members if you wanted to start a club but for STRIDE you need 5 preferably 6 in case someone gets injured. So if I wanted to start a STRIDE club I'd have to find 4 more people. "URGH!!!" I yelled in annoyance "What's wrong Kotoe-chan?" asked Naruko worriedly. "What's wrong?! You guys have no STRIDE club and if I want to start one I have to find four more members! Which is really hard! Since most people don't even know what STRIDE is!" a small "oh" escaped from his lips and I realized none of the people in this room probably new what STRIDE was. "STRIDE is a type of relay racing that involves parkour, which if you don't know what that is, is kind like gymnastics." Oh's went around the room. "Sounds boring and horribly slow if you ask me." says Imaizumi. "Oh? How 'bout you say that to my face when I beat you in a race? Hmmm? How 'bout it?" I taunted, slightly offended by his words. "Your on!" He yelled angered that I had said that I would beat him. "Alright! How 'bout after school in 2 days time? If I win you have to join the STRIDE club, you do have good thigh muscles so you would probably do good with some training." Ok. But what do I get if I win?" "I'll join this club and you get to say that biking is better than STRIDE." Imaizumi agreed to the bet with a nod. "I'll choose the course, 'kay?" I said smiling "Sure." he replied going back to his lunch.

"Hey!!! Kuga, I'm hoooome!" yelled as I entered the house, my silver hair fluttering behind me. "Hi, Kotoe, how was school?" asked my older brother. "Good, I made a few friends and I have a race to win on Wednesday!" "Nice. Dinner's ready so I'm gonna head out to meet up with Heath. Ok?" "'kay! Have fun with your boyfriend!" "Kotoe!!! He's not my boyfriend!!! ...yet..." said Kuga as he left the house taking his motorbike. I laughed as I heard him mutter about how Heath wasn't his boyfriend yet. Suddenly my phone started ringing, alerting me, picking it up I answered it. "Hi Ko-chan!" said the voice on the other end of the phone. "Oh! Hey Shizuma! How are you?" I said greeting the kind pinkette. "I'm good, you?" "I'm good!" "That's nice to hear, I was wondering how your first day at Sohoku?" "It was great! I made a few friends in the bicycle racing club, but the school doesn't have a STRIDE club!" "That's great tha you made friends but it is a bummer that there isn't a STRIDE club. Anyways I have to go, Asuma's calling me." "Ok! Bye! Say hi to Asu-san for me!" with that we hung up and I started to eat my dinner before doing my homework and going to bed.

Imaizumi pov:
I was riding up the rear entrance of the school only to see someone on a bike who was also going up the rear entrance. The only other person who I knew who took this road was Onoda, but this didn't look like Onoda, in fact it looked like a girl. I sped up to see who it was only to realize it was Kotoe, she had earbuds in and was moving at fairly normal pace but what I noticed was that her bike was actually a road racer. It was a silver and black racer, with abnormal handlebars, they were linger that normal handlebars and had more support on them, also the rest of her bike seemed to have a stronger build than most. Kind of like her bike was made to receive vibrations from landing, like a stunt bike. "Oi, Kotoe! What's up with your bike? Is it a custom?" I yelled grabbing her attention. Taking out her earbuds she replied: "Uh, no, I just had some adjustments made to it, to accommodate my riding style more." "Ah. Makes sense." I replied, only to find we were at the top of the slope.
