I wake up with a start to my little sister jumping on my bed. I groan & sit up whilst I wipe my eyes. I look at the time to see that it's seven o'clock in the morning.

"Come on you need to get up, we're going to the track today," she squeals trying to pull me out of bed.

"Eleanor calm down," I say getting up as she pulls me downstairs towards the kitchen.

"Good morning Savannah," my stepmom says.

When I was young my parents divorced & my dad then remarried. I lived with my mom for a while until my dad got custody over me & my brothers, Kason & Jordi. The woman he remarried had a son & daughter from a previous marriage.

"Morning," I mumble.

"Ellie can you go wake up the others?" my "mom" asks. Eleanor nods & runs off to wake up my brothers. Eleanor is really only my half sister, she was born when I was fourteen.

"Good morning Princess," my dad says kissing my forehead.

"Morning Dad," I say hugging him.

"When are you heading to work?" he asks.

"Soon," I reply. "I'm gonna go see if Will can take me."

"Sounds like a plan, you should go get ready," he says as I get up. I run up to Will's room & knock on the door.

"Can I come in?" I ask.

"Yeah," he responds & I open the door. " What's up kid?"

"Can you take me to work?" I ask.

"Of course," he replies.

"Thank you Will," I say as he pushes me out of his room. I run to my rook & quickly get dressed, I put on my KBM shirt, leggings, & my Vans. After that I quickly brush my hair & teeth then do my makeup. I then put on my KBM hat & my credentials lanyard around my neck.

"You ready?" Will asks from the other side of my door.

"Yeah," I say grabbing my bag & opening the door. We race downstairs & he beats me. "Cheater!"

"You're just a sore loser Sav," he teases opening the front door.

"Bye dad, bye Dana," I say as Will glares at me.

"Bye mom, bye dad," he says as we walk out. "It's been eleven years since they married, why don't you like my mom?"

"I just don't okay," I say sternly as I get in the car. "Look can we not talk about this today."

"Fine," he says rolling his eyes.

We ride in silence as he picks up Chick-Fil-A and takes me to KBM. After he drops me off he'll be going to Hendrick Motorsports as that's where he works.

"Bye Will, love you," I say getting out.

"Bye Sav, love you too. I'll see you later," he says as I close the door.

"See ya," I say walking towards the door.

"Sav!" Harrison exclaims when I walk in.

"Hello to you too Harry," I say as he hugs me. This is Harrison's rookie year in trucks, as he's finally old enough to get a full time ride. "Ready for today's race?"

"You know it," he grins. Harrison in started with us in 2016 when he ran his first truck race which was the fall race at Martinsville.

This weekend three of our trucks are racing, No. 4 of Todd Gilliland, No. 18 of Harrison and No. 46 of Christian Eckes.
