It's been almost half an hour and they still haven't announced the winner. During that time I walked down to the infield to wait with them.

"After long consideration the winner is..." the announcer pauses. "John Hunter Nemechek!!!!"

I turn to him with a look of complete and utter shock. I then wrap him in a huge hug.

"Congrats JH!" I exclaim excitedly.

"Thanks Sav," he grins as we pull away.

"You did great Chase, you'll get 'em next time," I say giving him a hug.

"Yeah, I hope so," he says a bit sad. "But we were so close."

"I know, it sucks," I say pulling away. "But there's always next time."

Todd, Harrison, and Myatt walk up to us to congratulate them on the finish.

"At least you didn't wreck like these three," I whisper to Chase and he laughs. "Are you staying the rest of the weekend?"

"Yeah, of course," he answers.

"Where are you staying," I ask.

"I don't know yet," he replies with a laugh.

"You can stay at my house," I suggest.

"Will your parents be okay with that?" he questions.

"My dad most likely and I don't care what my stepmom thinks," I respond.

"Sounds good," he says. "Wait, where does Sean usually stay when he's here?"

"My house. But that doesn't matter, cause you're my best friend," I answer.

"Thanks Savy," he grins as my family and Sean walk up.

"Chase Purdy?" my dad questions.

"That would be me Mr. Grayson," he responds, "It's been a while."

"Yeah, too long," my dad says. "Great job today by the way."

"Thank you sir," he says politely. Eleanor then nicely pulls on my arm so I'll bend down.

"Who's he? Is he your boyfriend?" she whispers in my ear and I laugh.

"That's my best friend from when I was younger," I explain.

"Why have I not seen him before?" she asks.

"He lives in Alabama," I reply.

"Oh," she mumbles before walking over to him.

"You must be Eleanor," he says bending down and she nods. "That's such a pretty name."

"Thank you," she says shyly.

"You're welcome. Can I call you Ellie?" he asks.

"Only my mommy and daddy call me that, but sure," she replies.

"Well then it's an honor," he chuckles which makes her giggle.

"Dad is it cool if Chase stays with us?" I question.

"Where's he gonna sleep?" he asks. "And anyways Sean is here."

"Dad he can stay with me," I reply.

"Savannah..." he warns.

"Dad, I haven't seen him in eleven years, this'll be a great chance for us to catch up," I argue.

"Okay, fine. But what about Sean?" he questions.

"He can stay in the guest room," I respond.

We have at total of five bedrooms because dad had the basement redone when we moved in because it was originally four rooms. At first it was me and Kathryn in one room, Kason and Jordi in another, then Will had his own room. Then when Eleanor came along and renovations were done, she had her own room. As time went on Kathryn, Kason, and Jordi all moved out so us left at home have our own rooms and there's one guest room.
