FRANCESCA KINGSLEY HATED HER LIFE

FRANCESCA KINGSLEY HATED HER LIFE. She feels guilty for thinking like that though. She's well aware of the people who live on the streets with no money and no place to go, but if she could, she would trade her life for theirs. Although not really. Francesca can be a bit of an asshole sometimes and can be a little cruel when she wants to be, but she couldn't do that to a person. She's not that cruel. Now while her life may look all posh and polished from an outsider, it's much more than that.

You see, she already had a legacy at King's Dominion. Francesca's mother, Cleo Kingsley, was given the "Black Widow" title when she attended the school. She was at the top of her class and she could handle all of Master Lin's tests and manage to make it out in one piece. She was also known to use poison in her kills and also get the job done as cleanly and quietly as possible. And because the world was (and still is) sexist, her brother, Santiago, couldn't possibly be the next Black Widow and her sister wanted to make a name for herself, leaving their sister with the expectation of filling the shoes of their mother's legacy.

As she began to grow older, Francesca dreaded the day when the little envelope containing her acceptance letter would appear on their doorstep and she would be forced to go to the school. When Master Lin recruited her daughter into King's Dominion, she had a destiny already written for her; she was expected to be exactly like her mother and become the next Black Widow. So, she had no choice but to give the people what they wanted. She was at the top of her class and she completed all of Master Lin's tests and tasks in one piece, sometimes not even a scratch on her body. That is why she was Master Lin's favorite student. She could play anyone like a violin and she wasn't afraid to get a job done, even if that means to get her hands a little dirty.

But Francesca was different than the other students that attended King's Dominion, which in retrospect made her stood out like a sore thumb. She wasn't a psychopath or sociopath per se. She was just a normal human being who had a little bit of a soft spot for killing anyone that stood in her way. But, all of that came to a halt in 1987, in San Francisco, California, and a game of chase with a boy named Marcus Lopez Arguello.
