living the normal life

THE SOUND of an alarm, blared in my ears as I groaned. Too tired to turn it off, I ignored it. It would turn off eventually. "[Name]! TURN THAT THING OFF! I GOT WORK TONIGHT!" I chuckled. "WELL, YOU GOT WORK RIGHT NOW!" This was my relationship with my Papa. We love each other so much that screaming at one another has become the norm. Oh what a lovely way to start the morning. I clicked the button to my alarm clock, shutting the annoying sound off. I opened my eyes, looking at the time. 6:15 am. I sat up from my bed, stretching my arms, releasing the sleepiness from my body. "Time to start the day." I mumbled, before getting out of bed.

I walked out of my room, after changing into workout clothes. Just like before, I was homeschooled. Papa and I decided it was best if I stayed homeschool without having the risk of being taken once again. I didn't want to leave Papa... I stepped into the kitchen, preparing lunch for Papa before he went to work. "DAD I'M GOING FOR MY RUN!" "Why are you yelling? I'm here." I jumped and I turned to see Papa, walking into the kitchen. "Ah! Geez! You scared me!" He sighs before going over to the cupboard and grabbing a mug. "You need to stop hanging out with Hizashi." I laughed as I finished packing the food I made yesterday. "That's not possible, Papa. And you know that." I heard him sigh in defeat as he turned around.

I hugged Papa goodbye, as I walked towards the door. "Be careful, okay?" I smiled. "You got it!" I plugged in my earbuds as I slipped my running shoes on. I took a deep breath, before starting my run around the park. Papa allowed me to run out as long I was in the sight of others. Plus, with the help of tech at U.A., the bracelet he gave me, had a tracker on it, just in case something did happen. I smiled as I ran through the park, it was nice to see other people that weren't trained henchmen.

I noticed a black haired figure, sitting at the park's waterfall and I smiled before running up to him. "Kirishima." I called out, causing him to look up from his cell phone. He gave a soft smile. "[Name]..." He replied, as I sat down next to him.

He handed me a water bottle and I smiled. "You know you don't have to get me a water bottle every time we meet each other like this." He shrugs before looking down at the ground. "What are friends for." I smile before taking the bottle. "When does school start for you again?" "8:30. I've told you this many times, [Name]." My face flushed out of embarrassment. "I know, but it must be fun going to school." Kirishima was quiet. "I guess," he mumbled as I opened the water, gulping down half of it. "Don't worry, school will be much better when we're both at U.A.!"

Kirishima frowned. "I don't know if my quirk is good enough for U.A..." He started but before he could continue, I made him look at me. "Hey, your quirk is cool! I think it's one of a kind and I know you'll get into U.A. The two of us." Kirishima smiled. "Yeah!" He said, before standing up. "You're right, [Name]! Let's go to U.A. together!" He restated, pulling me into a hug. "I got to go now, see you later, [Name]." I waved goodbye before sitting there for a few more minutes. "I should go back now."

Finishing her walk, [Name] walked around the grocery district, getting groceries for tonight's dinner. Her stomach growled. "Ugh... I need lunch." Suddenly, the ground shook from underneath everyone's feet, causing everyone to scream. There were no real thoughts going inside [Name]'s head. But she ran. Ran towards where all the commotion was. She saw a big puff of dark smoke and she stood where the crowd was facing. Why were they watching? The cogs in her brain finally clicked. 'What am I doing here? I should go back home...'
