"Kalipay! Kalipay!!" My head shot up from my hands, I spot one of my good friends Ria. We've been friends since first grade. She was new and I was chosen to show her around, . She must have been the one calling my name.

"Sorry, sorry. My head was up in the clouds." I don't think there's ever a moment it's not.

"Again? You've really got a problem with that huh space cadet?"

that's my nickname, earned for constantly daydreaming. I don't mind, though others seem to. It's fun to daydream and escape the harsh reality we live in. I don't understand why people who don't daydream have such a hard time excepting those who do. Like adults, they don't daydream, but they'll get onto their kids for doing it.

"Well the bell just rang, see you later." I said thanks to Ria and sighed before getting up and dumping my tray.

Just as the last bell rang I sped to my locker, flung it open and carelessly shoved all my stuff in my bag. The day before my mom put me in an after school choir hoping it would help me make friends. I walk in and the teacher tells me to pick a seat. I sat in the back hoping less people will sit back here.

I soon learn that's not the case as others flow in and disperse themselves in the back rows. No one sits next to me until a girl with blonde hair, and a bright smile walks in. She sits next to me. "Hello I'm kalipay, what's your name?"
