Selcouth
(sel·kooth)(adj.) Strange or unfamiliar
Walking out of the bookstore, Yoongi glanced around the truck and hoping to catch a glimpse of the new resident. He stepped onto the sidewalk and peeked through the window of the neighboring shop.
As he looked, he noticed someone laying on the counter, looking up at their phone. They seemed almost angry, staring at their phone in discontent. Carefully, Yoongi tapped at the door, surprising the man on the other side of the glass. As they pulled themselves off the ledge, Yoongi felt himself leaning backward, trying his best not to run away before the door was even opened.
He felt the tension in his body dissolve as the door was propped open by a man much taller than himself, staring down with inquisition.
"I'm Yoongi. I- I saw the truck outside so I figured I should say hello," he stammered out his comment, trying his best not to sound overly nervous in front of the stunningly handsome man in front of him.
Standing opposite of the smaller figure, the man let out a gentle smile and introduced himself with ease. "Hoseok. I'm guessing you own the coffee shop next to me?"
A wave of relief brushed over Yoongi as he responded with a laugh, "Yeah. Feel free to stop by anytime." Before he could step away from the door, he bit his tounge and forced himself to ask a question that had a very large chance of failure.
"Can I get you a coffee?"

Yoongi pulled on the door of the coffee shop, dragging his hand behind him to hold the door for the man following close behind him. Yoongi's hand brushed over the bar before he pulled himself around from the side. He let his hands work while striking up small talk with the man leaning against the table.
"It's about time someone bought that space. It's been empty since I showed up," Yoongi glanced over for a second, awaiting any response he might get.
"How long?"
Yoongi paused for a moment, "About five years, but probably longer. Namjoon said it's been empty since he moved in."
"And he runs the..?"
Yoongi turned away from the machines, waiting for the brew to finish, "The bookstore. You might like him; he makes friends easily. I can introduce you later if you want."
Hoseok nodded as he smiled out his reply, "That'd be great. What time's your shift over?"
Yoongi grabbed the steaming cup from the bar and placed it gently on the table Hoseok was leaning on, "I'm done at two today but his place's usually pretty busy until three or four. I can help you with boxes after I'm done if you want."
"You don't have to do that. It's really not that much so I should have everything inside fairly quick."
"All right then," Yoongi answered, putting out a smile that could only be described as a rarity.
