Jane moved, as swift as the strike of a vicious tiger, and slashed her sword towards Declan. "Die!" were her choice of words.
"Not yet," Declan calmly replied, his sword a blur, deflecting Jane's sword. Silent but as deadly as a snake, Declan rained multiple slashes onto Jane. They were so quick, that they were just blurred glints of steel slicing through the air.
Jane parried, albeit slightly frantic and without finesse. Countering with several slashes of her own, she took the time to prepare a spell to teleport. She knew Declan was way stronger than her, and that she wouldn't be able to cope much longer. Declan however, smirked, and merely countered her spell with a cancelling spell.
Irritated, Jane did a wide slash and somersaulted backwards. Declan was thrown off slightly, but didn't flinch. Yelling the words of a strong fireball spell, Jane fired it at Declan. Declan just whispered another cancelling spell, which made the fireball fizz out.
Frustrated and helpless in her conquest to kill this annoying Declan-guy, Jane whispered yet another enchantment to make her sword a thousand times sharper. As she yelled and lunged towards Declan, slashing wildly, Declan whispered yet another cancelling spell.
That was the final straw. Jane exploded, and began stringing spell after spell, firing so many at Declan that it was almost impossible to escape the devastation.
Almost.
Declan immediately yelled a teleportation spell, and disappeared.
