The day seemed to drag by, all I could think about was Jai. His beautiful text messages that made me forget all about Luke. I didn't think it was possible for someone's feelings to change so quickly, but Jai really stole my heart. The fact that he was interested in me too just sealed the deal. I was so keen to talk to him that afternoon, but the hours left of the day seemed to pass so slowly. Finally, the final bell rang and we were released from class. I collected my books and headed to my locker. I opened it to find a bunch of beautiful roses and a little card. I opened the card.
'Meet me at the front gate. x'
From Jai, no doubt. My heart beat uncontrollably fast, he was too perfect. I quickly packed my bag and made my way to the gate. Sure enough, I found him there waiting. I walked up to him.
"Hey beautiful, how was your first day?" He said, smiling adoringly at me.
"It was pretty good! Made a lot better cause of you." I flirted back.
" Come with me." He instructed, grabbing my hand and pulling me with him. we walked past the main office and into the trees that created a little forest at the side of the school. We walked further in for about a minute, I saw a cute little bench in the middle of it all, he took me over and we both sat down.
We stared into each others eyes for a few seconds, then leaned in towards each other. I closed my eyes and felt his soft lips press against mine. We kissed for a second, then pulled back, looked at each other to make sure we both wanted to carry on, then moved back in, kissing more passionately. My whole body felt like it was on vibrate. He was such an amazing kisser. He was filling my stomach with butterflies. He wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me closer. I ran my fingers through his hair and held his head while we kissed.
We eventually pulled away, though I could tell neither of us wanted to stop.
"Wow." Was all I could say.
He laughed at me, his laugh was so adorable. "Maria," he began, "Will you go out with me?"
My heart stopped, I'd never been asked out before. This was amazing.
"Of course!" I said, leaning in to kiss him again.
"Thank you Maria." He replied after we'd finished kissing. Then he stood up, and reached for my hand. We walked back through the forest and out the school gate, holding hands all the way home.
