Today was hot, I laid on a clear patch of grass beneath the shade of the tree, the tree was big and the branches were full of leaves that it made the perfect spot to lay on, the wind was calm it flow smoothly and it carried the leaves around, I closed my eyes, letting the memories flow like the wind, on how I met aisha.... I closed my eyes and now it all began......
In the middle of spring I was just 7 years old then, my mom let me play in the park and I saw a lone child, a girl, with long light brown hair, she has light brown eyes that matched her hair so well, and on her lap is a book, she is just sitting on the bench by the sakura tree on a small hill.
I went over to invite her to play but it ended up in a long conversation, "hey my name is Vince what is your name?", in a soft voice she answered, "my name... is..uhm.. aisha", "oh what a cute name Aisha, so what’s that book about?", "huh?.. oh... this..", I said the words a loud before she could explain "cher-ry blo...s-som, oh cherry blossom, so you like the cherry blossoms that much huh?".
we talked more about the flower and more about each other, I sat beside her while she explains more, "oh yes the flowers of the tree is so magnificent it is so calm and the flowers are said to be a great view in spring while having a picnic, but...","but what?", "you see my mother and father are always busy so we can't have a picnic", I answered in a short tone "why don't you have a picnic right now?", "Even if i picnic by myself It won’t be any fun and it even stated here that having a picnic below the tree with a special someone would be more of a great experience", "how about lets picnic here right now" with a big smile in my face, "ehh- but it said here that it is called the tree of love it brings down the fruit of lovers also", "hahaha i am just joking around, hey how about this?", "what is it?", "when we become older I promise you that we will have a picnic once more below this same tree, and we'll became lovers and we don't have to care about much does that sound nice?",
she was paused and amazed frown is what I saw when i looked at her, she was a bit turning red but eventually she smiled "yes! sure", "ok its a promise then",
I took a sharp stone and I tried to mark our promise on the bark of wood and hide the wood beneath some of the roots of that same tree",
since then that is the start of our friendship though the matters of time went fast than I had expected, and still I haven’t achieved that promise, through my growth I grew quiet and trying to understand the world, and Aisha became more active but she was still the same as before, we are still friends, like we are still defending each other when one is lost we try to find each other’s way back, she always cheers me up because not like before she is always fragile and not that strong enough I was the one who protect her now it was the other way around, though through this my feelings for her went on but my mouth was sealed tight for the event of what might happened on the time I might asked her.
When Aisha and I were 10 years old, we moved to a remote location far away from town but not yet leaving the entire state. We had poor communication with Aisha, since our only utility was a phone. Years have elapsed since that moving event. I am now 14 years old. I made new friends in this new home and I have a new school to go into, we have always been changing our home.
A few months later...
My mom suddenly makes an announcement . . . . . she finally found a new job. That kind of announcement signals that we are again going to move to another location, this time she said that our new home would be our permanent home since the path will be easier for both my dad and mom.
The time came for us to take a look at our new home. Interestingly, it looks a lot like our old one. The same windy path, breezy shores, tequila sunsets. I tried to look around. The trees are already shedding their leaves for it is the start of fall. A few more meters I saw found a small park “this is odd It feels like I had been here before...”, then a few more walks I saw a large school I think this is the school that i am going to enter. On my way back I took a different route and saw everybody who is everybody has pumpkins lined up in their backyard.
Then I arrived at our stop and my parents are already waiting for me. We drove a little more.
We stopped in front of a large house.
"Is this our house?, I asked hoping to confirm my thoughts.
"Yep, it is."
I immediately phoned Aisha. It took an hour for us to finish talking. After checking out our future home, it seems like that this new home won’t be bad one, unfortunately, we have to go again to our present house.
Little by little, we transfer what things needed to transfer from the present house to our new. I planted a cherry blossom in the middle of the yard which I nourish with water and sunlight.
I already foresee that we are going to move again.
Every week we visit our new house for us to transfer our furniture and other appliances to our new house. I thought of planting a cherry blossom tree on our backyard hoping it would bloom into a beautiful tree. Every week I water my plant and put fertilizer. I took care of it while it is still growing.
"How long until we're going to move again?", I asked my mom quizically.
"A few months from now, honey."
"Oh, ok." My brief reply concluded.
