Part one: 8 Months Left.
-----
This is a story about Winnie and me, Angel. Winnie is my best friend. She always has my back. We are like yin and yang. Everyone always believes we are dating but we know that there's nothing more. We are just soul mates to put it simply.
Being opposites keeps us in check. I'm impulsive with my decisions to do reckless shit and she always makes me step back and think even though I'm definitely going to do what I want to. She's more reserved and calm. I tend to pull out a crazier Winnie though. Today though we are going to our favorite restaurant- Jupiter's Palace.

"Angel! There are more people than just us here!" Winnie laughs as we sing the lyrics to some 2000s song really loudly that's etched into our psyche.
"Oh who cares Win! We're having fun!" I reply."Hey we've come to talk about your flavor of the month" she wiggles her eyebrows towards me as she takes a sip of her coke.
"Oh yes! He's so fine Win, and he's so funny too. Mikey is so sweet you're gonna love him" my heart jumps. I think I like this one."You said that about the last two I didn't meet"
She scoffs."Well I think this guy is actually great. He isn't a drug dealer like all the others and he's sweet and great!" I get excited.
"Oh has hell frozen over? You always date the dealers" she rolls her eyes. "Besides, after Dove you don't need any thing serious. And we are moving out of this town this year. You've only really got 8 months here-"
"I don't want to talk about that Winnie" I interjected.
"Well you're going to have to grow up sometime Angel." She was right, I was too scared to leave everyone I know behind, but college was just around the corner, I was moving five hours away, and Winnie, seven. I really love my best friend, I really didn't want anything to mess that up.
"So, how are you and Eliza?" I asked, attempting to change the subject.
"Fine I guess," Winnie shrugs her shoulders "I think that she wants to break up with me, or maybe I am just self sabotaging"
"Like always, Win you've got to learn that you are so lovable and if someone is making you feel unloved thats on them, not you" as I am speaking the waiter comes up to us with our food. After he leaves, I grab Winnie's hand, "You are perfect, anyone would be the luckiest person to have you"
"Thanks Angie" She goes on eating and we continue talking about our days.
We eventually finish, I say good bye and head home. Winnie has work tonight at her dad's grocery store.
I go home and catch up on all of the homework I have missed out on in the past week, gotta love ex-gifted kid syndrome, sometimes I feel like I can't do anything, my brain just doesn't tick in the same ways it did when I was younger.

The next day I head out to class, I meet Mikey before school, he is my new fling recently, he's about 20 years old, one of those skinny white boys that you would see twitter obsessing over. I think that I actually like him, he's sweet.
"Hey you!" He smiles at me as I go in for a hug. "So, I was thinking... why don't you skip school and come hang out with me today."
"Hmm sounds tempting..." I smile then kiss him. "You know what, why not? Oh, this would be a perfect time to introduce you and Winnie, can she come please?" I give him pretend puppy dog eyes.
"You know what, why not?" He seems a bit disappointed but I don't care, I want to show Winnie I can be serious in a relationship.
