Cameron was the most popular student at Perilous High, she had the looks, the additude, and the power. But she also had her secrets. She went home after her shift at the local diner was over and heard yelling coming from inside. she didnt know why her parents were home. They were supposed to be in Kentucky this month. They had only been gone a week. She creaked the door open and went to her room. She could hear everything. "Shut up Benjamen! You think that I would do something like that!? I was at the museum all day! You were the one who left the doors unlocked!" her mother was yelling at her father. "And because of that, we're broke!!!" they kept fighting for at least another hour before she heard straight silence. they were done. she quietly walked into her mother's room, "Mom? Are you okay?" she whispered. but their was no reply. she was sleeping. Cameron ate some leftovers and went to sleep.
About a month later, she got home from school early. She went inside the house. Her mom was drunk on the couch. "Why are you here? You're not staying in my house missy. You weren't at school today. do you know what kind of trouble I could have gotten into??" she yelled. Cameron tried to ignore her. but couldn't. "Mom, you're drunk. go to bed. i will go stay at Mkenzy's tonight." she said quietly. "The hell you are! Sit you're ass down on that couch!" she shouted. Cameron sat down slowly, confused. "Wipe that look off of your face before I slap it off!" Cameron tried to ask what was wrong but she couldn't get the words out.
