Epilogue

So usually werewolves shift at 16. Well I didn't, instead I just have my wolf. She doesn't help much but at least I have one. My name is Deunan North and I am the son...oops, I mean daughter of Alpha Quinn, the great alpha of the Glades pack. Well I know it's  weird that I started to introduce myself as the son. Well having an alpha daughter is very rare so, instead of going into hiding I've lived my life as a boy. If that's not hard enough I am kin of an alpha, who hasn't shifted yet and could be hunted down if found out. So I am 18 now and my wolf still won't tell me anything other than, "You will find out. Don't worry about it". Ugh she is such a brat! So normally kids my age are looking and searching for a mate, not me. I'm dreading finding my mate. What am I to do when I find my mate? Guess I'll have to find out. 

Deunan

I wake up to Jaxon screaming at me to get up for school, which I gladly ignored. I pulled my blankets over my head and turned away from him. 

"Deunan GET UP, its time for school!" I keep hearing Jaxon screaming at me.

I finally get back to sleep just before I get yanked out of bed by an irritated and now amused Jax. He is the Betas son and the only one other than my family and father's high in command who know about me being a girl.

"WHAT THE HELL JAXON!?" I boom at him through gritted teeth. All he could do was stand there and laugh. I'll show him to mess with my sleep. 

"Alright I'm up. Now fuck off so I can get ready." I roll my eyes and point at the door. He raised his hands in defense "alright grouch" and he walked out closing the door behind him.        

 First thing I do is walk into my bathroom and take a shower. After my literal five minute shower I dry my hair with a towel and comb through it. I walk into my closet, wrap my chest(ya know cause guys aren't supposed to have boobs) and throw on whatever clothes I see in here that goes together. Once I'm ready I take a look in the mirror and do one last style to my dirty blonde, curly swoosh. My hair isn't buzz cut short but kind of like a tidied up long pixie cut with a more manly look to it. I put my icy blue contacts in to cover up my amethyst rings that are around my iris along with the specks, my eyes are blue other than the purple. I have to wear contacts because it isn't normal to humans for someone to have such unique colored eyes. Luckily my voice is deep for a girl so with a little practice I can effortlessly make it a bit deeper. 

I walk downstairs to see some pack members still eating breakfast. 

"Hey Deunan! Would you like an omelet?" The girl whose clothing is way too tight and revealing, coos at me. I find her to be repulsing, like throw on clothes that fit you. She pats the seat next to her.

"No thanks Amber. I've already ate." I lied to her but oh well. 

"But this omelet is really good," Just on cue, Jaxon walks in and cuts her off 

"Amber, honey you gotta learn that he's obviously not interested" And he drags me to the garage where our babies and parked. I grab the keys to my dark grey Jaguar F and hop in while Jax gets in the passenger seat. The drive to school is about 20 minutes so we crank the music and head to school. Summit High school is on neutral grounds so we are out of pack territory which means other packs and humans. As we pull up into the parking lot I park in my spot and everyone watched us walk into the school. We stop at our locker when we are approached by an angry Charlie, my soon to be third in command as Jax is my beta. She crossed her arms and tapped her foot.

"uh oh looks like we are in trouble" Jaxon whispers to me and we give each other frightened looks.

"So is there a reason I didn't get woken up by my so called friends?!" She was giving us the look, ya know the look that could take down Medusa herself. 

We give her innocent looks "what do you mean?" "I tried and you got mean." "I woke up late" "I had to get Deunan up." "I'm..wait, I'm the excuse now?! C'mon man!" we bickered back and forth. Charlie just looked at both of us and laughed. 

"You two are idiots" she rolls her eyes at us. We walked down the halls together and drop Charlie off at her English class, and I drop Jax off at his History class. I walk down the hall and up the stairs to my Math class. I sat down in my usual spot in the back center of the room. As I was getting my stuff out the teacher walks in with her usual stressed look and starts class as soon as the bell rings. 

When class is dismissed, I gather my things and start to walk out of the room when I hear the teacher call me. 

"Mr. North, may I speak to you for a second?" she asked from behind her desk.

"Yes Mrs. Dailey?" I actually didn't do anything wrong so idk what it could be. 

"You are a very mathematically inclined and score perfect on your tests and I would like you to participate more in class discussion. You could help some other kids understand." She asked me with so much hope in her voice. It was a little sad but I went with it anyway.

"I can try to I guess but no promises." I am just trying to get to the hall where Jax and Charlie where waiting for me.

"Thank your Deunan, don't be late for your next class" and with that I practically ran out of the room. When I finally got to the hall, Jax and Charlie were waiting for a story of what I did this time. they got bummed when it was about class. 

We were walking down the hall to our next class when it hit me, the most amazing and intoxicating smell. Maybe its Charlie's new perfume? As we walked it just got stronger and stronger. My wolf was really riled up today and I don't know why. "Go find it!" stupid wolf always trying to boss me around. I kept my direction and when we walked passed the office it was almost controlling. The smell of Lavender and Peppermint. I saw someone in the main office through the windows but I kept my route to class even with Luna causing a ruckus.

"Deunan? Hello earth to pretty boy. HellOOoooo?" I hear my friends calling for me bringing me out of thought. 

"huh? What is it?" they looked at me confused as if I had done something wrong.

"We were discussing plans for your party. It is supposed to be a full moon tomorrow for your birthday!" Charlie and Jax are always planning these things. Guess Charlie is going all out for my 18th. 

"Oh yeah my birthday, can't wait." I say still little out of it. I've been saved by walking into the classroom and the bell ringing. I take my seat in the center of the classroom and they take theirs on different sides of the room. After the teacher took roll we started class. Science is not one of my favorites but oh well, school is school. We were dissecting frogs when the scent hit me again and kept getting stronger until the classroom door opened and low and behold the most attractive man I have ever met. We locked eyes and my wolf said something I wish I had never heard. 

"mate."
