CHAPTER 9

Shivay Singh Oberoi might be a shrewd businessman, but Niki Oberoi knows better than her brother when it comes to things of heart. Her first suspicion started when she saw Shivay talking on the phone late at night laughing heartily, then she saw him ordering a ladies handbag online and her suspicions turned to confirmation when she saw Annika carrying the same bag on one of her shopping trips with Niki. So, Niki was not at all surprised to find Annika's stole in the gaming room one day. Of course, she was happy for her brother and her best friend. However, Niki didn't like the fact that they both kept her in the dark. Who was the reason for their meeting? Who told them tons of stories about each other? Who plotted to get them together? Who tried to make them see light after the rumour fiasco? And they hide things from Niki Oberoi!!

Shivay was in his study reading a file when he heard his sister's unusual loud voice. He took the file with him and went to his sister to warn her to mellow her voice when he heard Annika's name being mentioned. Naturally he got curious.

"I know Simi. SujanaForver is an awesome writer. Oh! The way she explained Sanjana's beauty in the third chapter! It was like looking at Annika in real. And then that romance scene in Chapter 7. That was just too good."

Shivay saw his sister place her ipad on the table and walk out of the room carrying her water bottle. He immediately jumped at the opportunity to look at what was she talking about.

....Suman held Sanjana by her waist and looked deep into her eyes. Their lips met soon after their eyes and they were carried to a world of bliss .Suman effortlessly untied the dori of her blouse and let the flimsy material drop to the floor. He held her shoulder and made her look at him. Her amber eyes looked at him with innocence, while his avid blue eyes looked at her with passion. He slowly bent down to take her bre....

"The fu..!!!" swore Shivay as he read the unabashed porn about his girl friend.

From Shivay's voice Annika sensed that he was angry. She was convinced it was very serious issue when he asked her to meet him at his office. But, when he handed her a single page printed paper of a chapter from numerous Sujana fan fiction over the internet, Annika didn't know how to react.

"So?" asked Annika casually

"Annika that is porn." Said an appalled Shivay

"One, it is called erotica when it is in written form and two, it's not even erotica Shivay it is just fan fiction."

"How can they write things like this about you?"

"This is not about me. This is about Sanjana."

"But you are her."

"Only my face is her."

"Well, does that make it any better?"

Shivay leaned back on his chair and closed his eyes in irritation. "I just hate to think that someone writes about you this explicitly." He admitted

"Shivay this is fan fiction. People write about all actors and characters. You should not take this seriously." Said Annika placing her hand on his. "If it makes you feel any better, then most these writers are women."

"Only women could come up with bizarre ideas like this."

"I am going to take that as a compliment Mr.Oberoi." said Annika as she sat in a chair across him. "Anyways, how does the busy business tycoon who doesn't have time to even check my messages stumble upon this particular fanfiction?"

"Niki was reading it." Said Shivay

"And she left her password protected ipad open with THIS page?" asked Annika suspiciously

Shivay looked at Annika as he processed the idea. Niki was very possessive about her gadgets. He doesn't even know her password. Shivay has once teased her saying that she hides national secrets in her gadgets and that is why doesn't allow him to touch it. So, how did this carelessness happen?

"Shivay, when I went to movie with Niki last week, she told me that your Pinky aunty wanted to get you and Nisha married and Niki can already imagine her as bhabi. I didn't think much of it as you once told me Nisha is also like a sister to you. But, now I think Niki did that intentionally."

"But why would Niki do that?"

"Buddhu, I think she knows about us."

"Oh." Said Shivay as he made a thoughtful face.

Shivay and Annika were greeted by a furious Niki pacing across the living room of Oberoi Mansion.

"Niki..."called Shivay

Niki looked at her brother and Annika with teary eyes and marched towards them.

"What happened, Niki?" asked Shivay panicking seeing his sister's tears

"How can you both do this?" asked Niki accusingly

"What did I do?" asked Shivay

"How can you get engaged without me present?"

"Engaged!!!!" shouted Shivay and Annika in unison
