Time is a tricky thing. It will always get the best of you, and Eloise has learned to not fight it. She realizes time is the one constant in life that will always win. You can fight it, but inevitably, what time intended, time will receive.

She is reminded of this when picking off the petals of the roses she had recently received from a co-worker.

Elle had had four glasses of wine by now and was feeling tipsy. She knows what she's doing is rather childish, but she continues to utter the phrases each time she picks off a petal.

"He loves me, he loves me not. He loves me..."

Due to her inebriated state, she makes the semi-conscious decision to listen to whatever the last petal tells her.

Sure enough, it was "he loves me."

Elle shakily grabs her phone, intending to leave some form of a voicemail, not really having thought it through.

She's just about to click on the call button when her phone starts to ring. She answers without looking at the caller ID.

"Hello?", she asks.

"Elle? I have to tell you something."

It's Minghao. He's speaking in Chinese, and he's doing it too quickly.

"I'm sorry, could you repeat that?"

She couldn't have heard correctly.

"Hansol's just told us he wants us to meet this girl. He seemed pretty excited about it. I don't know what it is, but he said something about her being special? Anyway, I'm sure he wants you to meet her too, whoever she is. Just didn't want you to be blindsided, like we were. He's never wanted us to meet one of his girlfriends before. It seems serious."

She proceeds with the call, ending it as soon as she can.

A bitter laugh escapes her lips, and she buries her face into her hands.

Who could she possibly be? It's only been a little over a month since he got dumped by that girl.

Her phone rings again, but this time it's Hansol. She lets it ring a few times, staring hard at it.

She picks up.

"Sol?"

"Elle! I have some great news. After that night I spent at your place, I met this girl at a coffee shop. She had no idea who I was. Anyway, we got to talking, and one date became many. I've never felt this way about a girl before. I think it's getting pretty serious, and I would love for you and the guys to meet her. What do you say?"

Taking a deep breath, she closes her eyes, knowing that what she was about to agree to would be extremely detrimental towards her health.

"I'd love to meet her."

What incredible timing.
