Portugese is a romance language and is closely related to Spanish, spoken by around 260 million people both native and non native. It is most notably spoken by people in Brazil and Portugal, but it is also spoken in Angola, Mozambique, Equatorial Guinea, and others. Portugese is written in the latin alphabet and isn't particularly hard to learn for english speakers. The language is very useful in business because of how prominent Brazil is in today's world.
I think that all of the romance languages would be fun to learn, due to their relative simplicity(for an english speaker) to learn, and how well the romance languages seam to flow off the tongue. While the other languages in the romance family are more common to learn and are more useful for business, I personally find Portuguese to be Far more interesting, maybe for these reasons. A very cool language in my oh so humble opinion.
