I was running, trying to escape. I was in a hallway of a building I've never seen before, a place I've never heard of. The worst part, I have no idea of how I got here. One minute I was asleep safely in my bed at home. Then all of a sudden I'm here running from a terrifying creature. That, That thing that's been chasing me it seems to have no shape or form. It appears as a large shadow consumed in black fog. The only thing being visible being bright red murderous eyes. I had never thought I could be so terrified just by the sight of eyes before. But here I am running away from that very thing. The light in the hallway flickered on and off with its dim lighting creating an eerie feeling around me. As I ran I could see the shadows of creature standing in the doorways. I could hear them snickering and laughing as I passed, mocking me and the terror I felt. Just as I thought this hallway was never going to end I saw a pair of stained glass doors ahead of me. I ran with a new found energy and burst through the doors slamming them behind me and locking them. I waited a few moments expecting the creature to break down the doors but nothing happened. Slowly I slid down the side of the door and put my head in my hands. 'what is this place!', I thought. 'Why is this happening to me!'

Slowly I lifted my head to look around the room, I froze. The room I had run into seemed to be a church, but that isn't what shocked me. Sitting down on the benches of the church are what appeared to be people at first glance. They where all wearing black and seemingly the same thing. I looked to the front of the church to see what they were looking at to see a casket the size of a small child. No one in the room seemed to have even noticed me bursting into the room. No one moved, no one wept, no one made a noise. I started creeping up to the closest "person" that was in the room. Like the rest He was wearing a completely black outfit with the exception of an additional black hat. I placed my hand on his shoulder trying to get his attention. As soon as my hand touched his shoulder his head snapped toward me.

His face, if you can even call it that was void of anything. He had no eyes, no nose, no ears, and no mouth. the only characteristics on his face was that instead of eyes there were large dark holes in their place. Gradually the area where its mouth should be started stretching apart. It was like melted cheese being pulled apart separating to revel its mouth, it was a vile sight. After the skin had separated it reveled rows upon rows of sharp pointed teeth. the creature before me let out an ear piercing screech, similar to that of a banshee. This seemed to alert the other being of my presence in the room: the other creature stood up and faced toward my direction. Soon clicking noise filled the room while snake like tongues flicked out of their mouths. I know understand that the beings were similar to that of a snake and bat. There seemed to be no other way out of the room and I didn't want to take any chances with the thing behind the door. I eagerly glanced around the room to searched for another way out. up ahead by the casket I noticed that an area of the wall seemed slightly different from the rest. Squinting my eyes I was able to spot a door knob attached to it.

I decided to take my chances and ran for the hidden door . I had to make it there fast before the creature got a hit on my location. Just as I was passing the casket, getting ready to reach the door, something wrapped its hand around my wrist. I looked down to find out that the thing in the casket was an oversized porcelain doll wearing an old Victorian dress.

"Don't run away, " it said in a small voice. "We just want to play a game." It's face darkened into a disturbing smile. The doll started getting out of the casket. I quickly ripped off the dolls hand off my wrist and opened the door and ran out. 'This is a nightmare: none of this can be real!' I couldn't tell where I was or what the room even looked like. Everything was pitched black, there wasn't even enough light to see my hands in front of my face. I tried to steady my breathing in case their was something in the room with me. Scaring me, a spotlight turned on reveling a small patched up teddy bear, that's when I started hearing the singing.

"Tick, tock

Round the clock

I want to play a game

John was dead

Chopped off his head

And now I'm bored again." The image of a ghostly little girl wearing a sun dress skipped into the light. She walked over to the bear and carefully picked it up.

"I found you Mr. Bear, but what are you doing all the way over here?", the girl paused. "Oh you say we have a visitor? Well why don't we greet them?" the girl raised her head and stared right at me.

"Would you like to play a game with me? It gets so lonely here all by myself with mister bear. I do hope you last longer then my last friend." She slowly started walking toward me singing her eerie song. I couldn't escape this time, only being able to watch her creeping closer to me. Just when she was within arms length of me....I woke up. I peered around my darkened room in a daze. I was clammy and covered in sweat, while breathing in short raspy gasps. ' It was just a nightmare. But it seemed so real, how could it not be?' I turned around and turned on my bedside light. When I turned back the little girl was in front of me.

"I found you", she whispered. Then all I saw was red while the whispering of a song was in my ear...

"Tick, tock

Around the clock

I want to play a game

John was dead

Chopped off my head

So we played again

You were my toy

So much joy

To bad it had to end

Your soul is mine

This is goodbye

It's not a happy end."
