The android revolution has drastically changed the city of Detroit - it was a place where the androids lived free of their former masters and in peace with each other and the remaining humans that slowly returned to the city.
Hank Anderson, the Detroit Police Department lieutenant, however, never left. He stayed right there, hoping for the end to come - but it never did. Deviant Connor was as much a human as he was, and although he still talked funny, Hank didn't complain.
Him, Connor and Sumo lived together in Hank's house, after the detective realised that the android was almost like a son to him. He no longer had suicidal tendencies, and the old revolver was hidden away, never to resurface.
What Hank never talked about was the brown haired girl Connor had spotted in one of the photographs - she was little, maybe ten or eleven, while Cole was still a baby. Connor had analysed her picture and found out that she was in fact Jenna Anderson, Hank's daughter who lived in another state.
Once, Connor tried to ask about her and why the lieutenant wouldn't speak of her, but he only received grunts for a reply. One night, however, he told Connor the truth; Jenna ran off at the age of seventeen, a little while after the accident that costed Cole his life, married an older guy only a year later and never phoned back.
"You are all the children I need, Connor." Hank told him once, deep in his cups. The android smiled at him with his goofy way.
