Best Friend For-never
Well, I can't say I've never had a friend, because everyone has one once. Second grade in the middle of the year, a new girl moved in Ashlyn Brooks.
She talked to me, once so everyone ignored us as if they put on bug repellent to keep us away. She wasn't too bad.
She didn't act like the other kids she still had a little imagination in her.
She would play Barbie dolls with me but no baby dolls which is what I preferred at the time.
It was at the end of the year when someone told her about me and just like that she ditched me, and probably told them all about my obsessions with baby dolls, and things.
It was that year when my brothers "matured" and started to tease me acting like they were so much older than me.
Back then hurting my feelings was as easy as taking candy from a baby. But it was that year when I learned that you can't rely on anyone but yourself.
