AS THE QUIDDITCH MATCH GREW NEARER, the Gryffindor team practiced harder and hard until their final training session where Oliver delivered some unsettling news.
"We're not playing Slytherin!" He exclaimed angrily.
"Flint's just been to see me. We're playing Hufflepuff instead."
"Why?" The team questioned in almost unison as Aria furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.
"Flint's excuse is that their Seeker's arm's still injured," Oliver responded irritated "But it's obvious why they're doing it. Don't want to play in this weather. Think it'll damage their chances...."
"There's nothing wrong with Malfoy's arm!" Harry howled furiously "He's faking it!"

"I know that, but we can't prove it," Oliver stated bitterly "And we've been practicing all those moves assuming we're playing Slytherin, and instead it's Hufflepuff, and their style's quite different. They've got a new Captain and Seeker, Cedric Diggory--"

Aria bit her lip to keep from giggling remembering the very attractive boy from the owlery tower as Angelina and Katie giggled alongside the girl, Angelina mostly because Aria had gushed to her one time about how good looking he was at practice one evening when they weren't doing anything and now she wouldn't let the girl live it down.

"What?" Oliver asked the girls frowning slightly.
"He's that tall, good-looking one, isn't he?" Angelina asked causing Aria to giggle softly as she played with the end of her robes looking at the ground, pink dusting against her cheeks as Katie piped up, "strong and silent,"
"And extremely easy on the eyes," Aria chimed in glancing at Oliver who only watched the exchange with the slight frown tugging at his lips as the girls giggled together again.

"He's only silent because he's too thick to string two words together," Fred stated impatiently unamused at the lighthearted behavior as he felt his face twist in disgust at Aria's infatuated stance. "I don't know why you're worried, Oliver, Hufflepuff is a pushover. Last time we played them, Harry caught the Snitch in about five minutes, remember?"

"We were playing in completely different conditions!" Oliver reminded his eyes widening "Diggory's put a very strong side together! He's an excellent Seeker! I was afraid you'd take it like this!We mustn't relax! We must keep our focus! Slytherin is trying to wrong-foot us! We must win!"
"Oliver, calm down!" Fred exclaimed looking slightly alarmed "We're taking Hufflepuff very seriously. Seriously."

Aria was greeted by Hermione in the hallways between class and the two walked down the corridor together.
"I talked to Harry," Hermione began
"Am I supposed to be surprised? We talk to him everyday."
"talk to him everyday, you haven't exchanged a word with him since the night in the common room. Are you personally trying to brush him off? If you are, it seems to me working wildly -- I don't think I've ever seen him more distracted."

Aria only shook her head at this, "It's probably just this upcoming match, Oliver told us that we are going up against Hufflepuff instead of Slytherin and they have an excellent seeker --"
"-- well I certainly wouldn't call myself excellent but I wouldn't stop you from doing it either." Cedric piped up as the girls rounded the corner causing Aria to pale slightly as she swallowed nervously.
