"Mom, have you seen my acid wash jeans?!" I called from my room still rapped in a towel. "Yes, I took them so I could sew the button back on." "Oh yeah, forgot." I thought. "Where are you going this time? Keep going out like this and you'll never fit into anything nice." She stated as usual. Since my 14th birthday she's been obsessing over my looks. My acne, my weight, my glasses, and even my braces. At 14 she made me under go acne treatment, lose 15 pounds, get contacts and scared my dentist into giving me a retainer. I used to cry over it every night, but over the years you learn not to take things to heart. "Thanks mom."

On my way to (Y/N) I saw her sitting on the curb down the street. Stopping in front of her I rolled down my window to talk to her. "Nice beanie" I stated getting her attention. "Thank you. I just didn't feel like doing my hair." "Why are you out here?" "I'm running from my mother." "I won't even ask." "It's in your best interest not to." She ensured. "Nice shirt." I complimented referring to her black 'F#ck' shirt. "Thanks, where're we going?" "An amusement park." "Cool, I haven't been to one since I was little. My dad would take me all the time." She recalled. "Mind if I ask where your dad is?" "Well, he loved to travel, so he quit his job as a lawyer and became a geologist 6 years ago. Now a days I only see him once year, which sucks because he's like a stranger to me. But enough about my family what about your's?" She asked. 'I'm disgustingly rich with all the crap I don't need.' I thought. "I don't really talk about them much." "So I tell you about my stranger of a dad and you can't tell me about you're family?" 'Because I like the way things are going without you knowing.' I thought again. "Hey look we're!" I blurted awkwardly stepping out of the car.
