Written for the Open Novella Contest 2019.
This story is different from my others. If it were on TV, it would be a soap. The point of view is third person omniscient and switches characters often. The many characters contribute to the story through vignettes or little moments. It is written to be comical for the reader who is well versed in the contemporary residents of The Point. It is a prequel, but can be enjoyed with irony later in the series. My recommendation is before Book 4, The Players.
Enjoy!
Rumors aren't new to the beach community. When an unidentified couple is seen kissing in the shadows and a beautiful stranger arrives, the speculation starts. As word of her entertaining men at night spread, wives wonder whose husband will be next.
Set at a time when life was just a little simpler. There were no smartphone and most people who had cell phones still paid per text, so rumors spread by mouth. Would it end and how many lives would they affect in the process.
