The Infinity Stones

Ch. 4

   We walk to the jet, where a young SHIELD worker in tuning up the jet. "Hey, you guys aren't authorized to be in here." Cap holds up his hand. "Son, just don't." The worker nods and lets us in. As we take off, and pull out my daggers. The silver gleams in the low light. The Tesseract held the Space Stone, I know that. Helios is in the Scepter that Loki still has, asleep from the blue energy. How Loki found him, I don't know. "Artemis, you good?" Nat asks. I look up and sheath my daggers. "Yeah, I'm perfect." I say, standing up and looking out the front of the jet. As we reach New York, a blue energy shoots up above Stark Tower. I feel Azul's energy pulling me. "Cap, I'm going to head to the top of the Tower. I'll meet up with you later." I say, opening the cargo bay. "Artemis wait!" I jump out, spinning and pulling light energy around me into a pair of wings. As I level out, aliens, the Chitauri, come from the portal. I unsheathe my daggers and kill any that get in my way, spinning and dodging. I land on top of the tower. Selvig in on the ground, unconscious. I look down, seeing Thor fighting Loki. I approach the Tesseract, placing my hand through the blue barrier. I send a shock of my power into the cube. A blue smoke comes out and forms into the shape of a man. He had dark blue hair that went to his shoulders and average skin. He wore a light blue muscle shirt, black jeans, and grey sneakers. A battle axe was strapped to his back. Azul opens his eyes. "Artemis?" He whispers. I throw my arms around my brothers neck. "Azul!" I sob. He holds me. "Shh, I'm here now. I'm here." He whispers. "Artemis, you got a friend?" Tony asks through the coms. I laugh and let go of Azul. "Yeah, I do." I respond, seeing Tony flying through the city. "Well, get him fighting. Cap and the others need some help down there." I look over the edge, seeing Nat, Clint, and Cap fighting the aliens. I quickly explain everything to Azul before we head down.

   I watch as a giant worm alien flies through the portal. "Azul, can you stop it?" I ask, walking to Cap. "Stark, are you seeing this?" Cap asks as stop. "Seeing, still working on believing. Where's Banner? Has he shown up yet?" Tony asks. "Negative. Why?" I ask, giving Azul a com and pointing to my ear. "Just keep me posted." Tony replies. "Cap, this Azul. Azul, Steve Rogers." They share a firm hand shake as I throw shadow daggers at the aliens on the sides of the buildings. "Pleasure." Azul says. I see Nat and Clint behind a cab. All three of us run over. "We've got civilians trapped." Clint says, pointing at the bus. Loki flies over us and I throw and dagger. "Loki." I sneer. Azul glances at me. "The scepter he has. Helios is inside, but I can't get through." I explain. "Artemis, you and Azul stay near the portal. Kill any that come through, as many as you can." Azul smiles and blue Medieval armor covers him. "You ready, Moon?" Azul asks, grabbing his axe. I grin and jump off a bridge before flying up. he meets me there, slashing blue energy up. I throw daggers, more and more, then grab my daggers. They glow with black energy, my death energy, and create a pair of wings, taking them on in the air. "What's the story upstairs?" Steve asks. "It's bad, Cap. We can't hold them much longer!" I say as a Chitauri warrior slashes my side. I fall onto the tower. "Artemis!" Azul kills the warrior and runs to me. "I'm fine." I grumble, sitting up. "Captain Rogers, Artemis is down." I slap his arm. "I'm fine! Cap, we're heading down." I say, standing up. I heal my wound before jumping off the edge. "Good. Banner just arrived." I hear a distant roar and smile. "Nice to hear." I say, landing next to them. Hulk stands in front of the worm alien. The Chitauri screech in anger. I stand back to back with everyone, Azul on my right, Nat on my left. I unsheathe my daggers, Azul grips his axe, Thor reties Mjolnir, Nat loads her gun, Clint nocks an arrow, Hulk roars, Tony hovers above us, and Cap stands ready. I look up. "Guys? We got company." I say, my daggers glowing black. "Alright, listen up. Until we can close that portal up there, we're gonna use containment. Barton, I want you on that roof, eyes on everything. Call out patterns and strays. Stark, you got the perimeter. Anything gets more than three blocks out, you turn it back or you turn it to ash." Cap orders. Tony grabs Clint and takes him up. "Thor! You gotta try and bottleneck that portal, slow 'em down. You got the lightning, light the bastards up."Thor swings Mjolnir, flying off. Cap looks at me , Azul, and Nat. "Us, we stay here on the ground, keep the fighting here. And Hulk!" The Hulk looks at Cap. "Smash." The green giant grins and leaps into the air, taking out Chitauri. I smile and clasp my hand with Azul's. "Ready for Space Life?" I ask. He grins and grips my hand. We place our hands up and a blue-silver energy blasts around us. Aliens either disappear or fall to the ground, dead. "You guys get all the tricks, don't you?" Nat teases, taking out warriors with her bullets. I roll my eyes and snap a neck. "Natasha, sweetie, this isn't even our full power." I say. Azul looks at the portal. "Artemis." I look over. "The scepter, that Loki has, it can get through. Helios is way more powerful then us both." My eyes light up at his idea. "He can shut down the portal." I say, dodging a spear. "Azul, can you take Natasha up there with you?" Cap asks. Azul nods and extends hand to Nat. She takes it and Azul creates a blue ball around them and they head up. "So, Azul is?" Cap asks. I punch the face of a warrior, before stabbing it. "The youngest boy in my family. Space Stone. 6th kid." I say. "And your the 7th?" Cap asks. I nod. I grab his shield and block an energy blast. I hand Cap his shield back and stab the warrior. "Captain, the bank on 42nd, past Madison. They cornered a lot of civilians in there." Clint says. "I'm on it." I follow Cap, blocking blasts and taking out warriors.  In the bank, a crown of civilians are surrounded by three armed warriors. Cap jumps through a window and begins to fight. He snaps the neck of one and throws him into the pit. "Everyone clear out!" Cap is then grabbed by a warrior, who he fights and breaks free. A grenade-like device goes off and it blasts Cap out a window and onto a car after his mask is pulled back from his face. He stands silently while police lead the civilians from the building. "Youi okay?" I ask, jumping onto a car. "Fine." I look around, seeing what I can. Nat and Azul are on top of the tower now, trying to find the scepter. "Nat, did you find it yet?" I ask, creating a bow. "Yeah, Loki got the shit beaten out of him by Hulk." I smile and take out a few fliers. "Stark, do you here me? You have a missile headed straight for the city." Fury says. I look over at Cap. "Nat, don't do it yet." I say, jumping down ad running to the tower. "Artemis, are you insane?" Azul asks. "No she's right. We can use the nuke." Tony says. "How are you getting it in?" I ask, flying to the portal. "You know how, Artemis." I shake my head and turn for the nuke. "No, I'll do it." I say, grabbing the nuke. "Artemis, that's a one way trip." Cap says. "You can't." Azul argues. "I've got know choice!" I yell, pushing the nuke up. I aim perfectly and slip through. Space is cold, and dark. The ship is huge, with more of the army there. I let go of the nuke and fall, my vision going black.
