Reality check strikes hard

"It was nice meeting you Niall!" I said hugging him again.

"You too Carly... Never meet a girl version of me before" he said laughing.

"Well we should get going.. See ya Horan" Mikey said leaving the door with the other boys.. I was about to walk out when Niall grabbed my arm.

"Hey we should hang out sometime.. You seem like an awesome person" he said handing me a piece of paper

"Yea we should! Well going to go, night Niall"

"Night Carly"

And with that I left to go in the car with the other guys.

When we got back to the house it was pitch black.. It looked like no one was home but I heard noises

"Mikey...the light" I said with a shaky voice

"I'm trying Carly"

Mikey knew my fear

The light finally went off but not before I bump into someone.

I fell and look who I bumped into..

"SURPRISE!!!" I jumped.

I look and it was my family and a few old friends. I turned to see who I bumped into and it was Ashton.

"Hey sorry about that" he said lifting his hand out. I accept his hand and was lifted up.

"Happy birthday sweetie" my mom said behind me.

"Thanks mom! Where's dad.." I said looking around

"Oh well.. He had something to do" she said stuttering.

"Let me guess he's out at the bar.." I said angrily.

"Yes I'm sorry dear.." She said.

"Don't be.. Used to it.." I replied tucking my hair behind my ear.

"But I have good news.." She said happily.

"And what's that.." I asked.

"Horiketonta!" A voice said.

I turned around to see who it was..

"Styroston!!" I said running to my best friend Chloe.

"Happy birthday bestie!" She said.

"Thanks I miss you!" I replied.

"How is everything?!" She asked.

"Everything is actually really go.." I tired saying until I was cut off

"What the hell is going on here" a voice screamed

I turned to see who it was.. I dreaded doing that..

There he was

My dad...

"Honey.. Stop we have comp..."

"Shutup... What the hell is going on here" my dad shouted.

"It's Carly's birthday.. Were cele..." My mom explained.

"Did I say we can celebrate!" He screamed

"Your not the boss of our house" Michael said.

"Mikey please.." I said begging

"What did you say boy" he said giving him a stern look.

"Mom take everyone to the spare room please" He said.

His mom knew he didn't want this to be a whole scene.

"This needs to stop... You have a problem.."

"Watch your damn mouth boy..."

Michael's mom came back and my dad was 10x ticked off..

"You heard me.. You have a damn problem.. It's your own daughters birthday!!"

"Shut up!! Your an annoying little brat just like her! I should give you a taste of your own medicine...

"What can't handle a little reality check.. You had to take it on your own daughter!!"

"What are you talking about..." My mom said.

"Shut up you little..."

"Aunt Alexis he.." He tried saying.

My dad came running after him and was about to hit him. I jump in the way.

"Dad stop!! Don't.." I said.

He hit me and I fell to the floor..

"You hit your own daughter!! Again!!"

"Rick!!" My mom scream and Mikey, Calum and Luke grabbed him and toss him outside..

When did they get here?

"Carly.."

I looked and there was Ashton who was kneeling down next to me.

"He's gone.. He did that before.. He hit you " He said getting mad.

"He..he.."

There's no point..

"He did.. And there's no going back.. My dad's an alcoholic" I finally broke crying intro Ashton's arms.
