"So what did you want to talk to me about?" Frost asked Elsa.

She had mentioned at dinner that she need to tell him something. After his rushed conversation with Semore, he basically ran to the bedroom to see what it was.

"Um about what's going on tomorrow, would you, come with me?"

"What's going on tomorrow?"

"Well we all know about the, "illness", spreading through Dunwall, and I have to meet a guy about the problem. I've heard things about this guy, he's, screwed up in the head. He's the empresses guard, and... You know." Elsa said quietly, shrugging.

"Hey, what ever makes you more comfortable. Are we going to him, or is he coming here?" Frost said, taking of his shirt.

"Oh, he's coming here. Like I'd ever go anywhere near Dunwall."

"Ohhhhhh, harsh words."

The next day rolled around pretty fast for a Sunday. Frost and Elsa headed down to the interrogation/meeting room to meet Corvo. Frost had no idea why he made her feel safe, especially around this guy. He could kill EVERYONE in the kingdom in 10 minutes flat.

Frost pushed opened the heavy, metal door, getting his first look at Corvo. Shit. He was average height, well built, but not bulky. But his face. Or, lack of face. He had a mask on, that looked like it was made of steel. One eye was glass, the other made of 3 glass circles. On the table was his knife, which was basically a fucking sword. Corvo had a black tattoo on the back of his hand of... Something, and when over he made a fist, it looked like it was glowing yellow. Christ, Frost was the only person in the room without a power of some sort.

"Yo, Cold bitch and husband, the guards said there would be Smarties. I don't see any fuckin smarties."

"Oh Christ." Frost said quietly.

"Say it a bit louder, dick face mcfuckernaut." Corvo said cocking his head at Frost.

"My apologies."

"So lets get to business," Elsa said, "The rat problem in your city is taking away from the tourism business. I understand your Empress passed away recently, by the way, I give my deepest sympathy, but I need you to do something about the rat problem. I understand its not your job, but your civilians are dying, and we don't want to have to cut of traveling to your... Nice city." Elsa said, Adjusting herself.

"And why is that my fucking problem? If my civilians die, why is that my problem? I thought I was here to talk about a hit on someone, or some bullshit. And you have nerve to talk to me about peasants? I mean look at me! Watch this."

Corvo pointed at the middle of the table, and a black.. Spill? Started to appear. He pulled his hand up quickly, and rat emerged from the oily substance. He picked it up by its neck, and the tar disappeared.

"Look, I have a certain set of abilities, and I enjoy killing things like a motherfucker, rats just don't react like people, you know?"

"No, I don't." Elsa said, open eyed.

"We'll, I have a condition where I like causing things pain. Of course I learned to control it, but for a long time I didn't, and I was an assassin. And I was the the fuckin best goddamn assassin that city ever saw. Then I became a guard, blah, blah, muddafuckin blah, Empress gets shanked, blah blah, I'm here. Boom, life story."

"Um, great. So how about the rat thing?" Elsa said, kind of off-put by his rant.

"Ah, that shit. I'll make you deal. Knowing over a quarter of the income you make a year, we could make a deal. Ill deal with the rat problem IF i can think of a strategy here. I mean, back in Dunwall, everyone's running around panicking. I only need like, 3 days. Maybe less. Please, I mean I've slept twice in the past week, and Jesus titty fucking Christ, I'm tired."

Elsa looked at Frost. He shrugged.

"Ok, I guess. No screwing about. Get the job the done."

"Beautiful. A decision you will not regret. I'll get to my room."

Then he was gone. Literally, gone. He vanished into nothing.

"What the hell?" Frost exclaimed.

"He ah, he can bend time at his own will. Chances are he already in his room sleeping." Elsa said rubbing her eyes. God she was tired of this shit.
