Just friends? - Bechloe fluff

Practice

(Set during the first film.

The Bellas are practicing for the quarter-finals and Aubrey has never been more agitated. "We have to win. We just have to!" she exclaims. Beca groans, of course this means that Aubrey's gonna push her harder than everyone else, why won't she just leave her alone?

Aubrey's voice cuts through the air, "Beca! Why haven't you been working on your dancing?" she asks accusingly. Beca groans again, "I have Aubrey. Clearly I've gotten better since last time and you know it. Why won't you just back off?" Aubrey, shocked and angry, shouts "That's it! Beca, if you dare talk back even one more time you're out. For good."

Chloe suddenly appears between the two of them, "Aubrey, you're being unfair and you know it. Beca obviously has gotten better so why don't you just leave her alone?" Beca quickly hides her grin before Aubrey could see it. "Thanks Chlo, you have no idea how mu-"

"Shush you. Beca, I'm sorry, you have improved but just not enough." Beca's internal grin fades, "Are... are you saying I'm not good enough?"

"No, no, of course not Beca" Chloe hastily says. "I'm just saying you need to improve more and so-"

"That's what I was saying so why-"

"Be quiet Aubrey, let me finish. As I was saying, Beca you need to improve more so I will teach you."

"But we need to practice the song now and-"

"Be quiet Aubrey. I will teach Beca privately. Not during practice time.

Aubrey was silent for a moment, then, "Fine, she better be up to scratch before the next practice Chloe. Chloe smiled confidently, "Oh, she will be."

After practice was over Beca walked over to Chloe, "Hey, thanks for standing up for me."

"No problem Beca, I'll see you in your room tomorrow at seven, okay?"

Beca smiled, "Yeah, seven works for me."
