Ms. Mead knocked harshly on your door, waking you up. "Breakfast" her lifeless voice shouted while opening your door. You woke with a smile. "Good morning ms. Mead! How are you doing today? Great! That's great!" You said, getting up from your bed and stretching out, her eyes rolled, she didn't care for your happiness. "Don't be late." She said plainly, before walking away.

You danced around your room, picking out your dress and spinning with it in your arms. You remembered last night and michaels kind gesture. Kind gesture? He saved your life. So you were a 'little' happy about it. You got dressed, a smile never leaving your face. You wore your purple gown that was tight at the waist and flared out below, stopping at your ankles, it was a low cut and you filled it out perfectly. You hated the dresses here, but today, nothing could bring you down.

You hopped down the stairs to the breakfast table. "Goooooood morning everybody!" You shouted while you stood at the end of the table, everyone's eyes redirecting to you, they were shocked because they knew you were shy, you were acting condolence out of character. "What's gotten into you, y/n?" Emily giggled. "Yeah, why do you get to be so happy? Do you not see where we are?" Coco's voices usually made you want to rip her vocal chords out, but you just smiled at her.

"Coco, you look beautiful today, gallant, you really did quite the number on her hair! If fits her perfectly!" Coco rolled her eyes and gallant giggled. "Without a blow dryer I even surprise myself" he said, laughing. You sat down by Emily, you considered her your 'friend' though you didn't know jack shit about her, just that she had a thing with Timothy, who sat at her other side.

Venable sat at the end of the table, stomping her cane, demanding all attention be drawn to her. Once all necks were snapped in her direction, her bitter voice filled the room. "This will be our last breakfast. We are running low on food and only have 18 months worth of it, You then can starting counting on less and less." Her soulless self spat, murmurs and fits now filled the room. "An effective dieting technique"Evie said, with hope, how she did it, no one would ever know, she managed to stay positive, though she was a cruel, narcissistic old prune. This news hit you, only damaging you happiness a little. You were slightly upset, but you couldn't complain, you were thankful that they were trying to keep you alive for as long as possible.

You tuned out the arguments as last night played in your head. How his strawberry-blonde hair fell in curls on his shoulders, his slight smirk when he saw you get flustered, his unexpected kindness. 'Michael' you thought, what a name. The way he said it made it even better. But it was nothing compared to the way he said your name. The way it rolled off his tongue like honey and glided past his plump lips like silk. You wanted to hear him say it again. The thought of him made you squirm, you can't lie, you were attracted to him. And you're allowed to be, right? It's not like he'll ever know, your thoughts are your own, your own private fantasy diary.
