Mark's POV

I woke up not seeing Sean in bed then I saw a note "went to pick up Jessica didn't want to wake you up love Sean" I read the note and smiled. I got dressed and went downstairs finding Sean had just gotten home from getting Jessica "Mark" Jessica ran over I scooped her up and kissed her cheek. "Daddy told me you both are getting married!" I smiled. "That's right I'm going to be your stepdad" she smiled "can I start calling you daddy?" She asked. I chuckled "sure sweetie" she wrapped her little arms around my neck "I love you daddy" my heart melted as said that. "I love you too angel" I put her down and she ran back to Sean.

Sean's POV

Jessica jumped into my arms I picked her up "wanna go to the park sweetie?" She nodded "yes daddy" me Mark and Jessica left the house and walked to the park. The park is not that far from the house so we got there pretty quickly it wasn't that crowded just a few kids playing and an elder couple taking a walk. Jessica ran towards the slide holding Mark's hand I followed after. "Daddy catch me" Mark smiled as Jessica walked up to the slide. Mark bent down getting ready to catch her Jessica slid down and Mark caught her he stood up and kissed her cheek then put her back down. Jessica saw a friend from her class and ran off and went to play with her. "she loves you Mark" I wrapped my arms around him from behind "you're a better father to her then Arron could ever be" I kissed his cheek. Mark held my arms "I love her too I love her as much as you do" he spun around to face me and kissed my lips. I smiled and we sat in the swings watching Jessica play with her friend.

Mark's POV

Sean held my hand "you'll make an amazing stepdad" he smiled. I chuckled and rubbed the back of my neck "you really think so?" "I know so babe you're really good with kids" I blushed a bit. Sean and I continued watching Jessica play until her friends teenage brother and one of his friends pushed her to the ground and she started crying. "I got her" Sean ran over picked her up and came back to the swing and sat back down with Jessica "shhh it's ok princess daddy's here" Sean comforted her and I gently rubbed her back "You ok sweetie?" I asked Jessica. She shook her head. Jessica's friend ran over to us "Jessica I'm so sorry about my dumb older brother" I got off the swing and kneeled down to her "you don't have to apologize it's not your fault" I told her. She gave me a worried look "is she gonna be ok?" I smiled "yes she'll be ok" her mother called for her "I gotta go feel better Jessica" she ran off to her mother. Sean was swinging back and forth in the swing slowly trying to calm down Jessica "you wanna go back home?" He asked. "Y-Yes daddy" she said in between sobs. We started walking home.

Sean's POV

Once we got home I handed Jessica to Mark "go sit with her on the couch I'll get her an ice pack" Mark nodded and went to the couch. I went to the freezer and grabbed an ice pack wrapped a clothe around it and went to the couch and sat with Mark "ok sweetheart show daddy the owwie" Jessica faced me there was a bruise on her forehead I gently kissed it and gave the ice back she held the ice pack on her forehead. Mark dried her tears and turned on Moana which is her favorite movie she smiled. I wrapped my arm around Mark "told you you'd make a good stepdad" he chuckled. We continued watching the movie.
