The trees that he passes by are now green and brown blurs. The sound of the howling wind in his ears. He dare not look back at the thing chasing him.

Off and on you could hear the snap of its powerful jaws, chomp from behind when it got to close. One leg out in front of the other, one stride at a time. The ground started to turn to mud. It became harder and harder to go faster and keep away from the monster that was hunting him

He head the roar of frustration from the beast. He felt the claws come and slash at his ankles. He didn't see the cliff, even if he was so close to the edge. He slipped and fell. His legs now useless. The beast was almost on top of him, he could now smell the scent of rotting flesh.

Lightning flashed, it started to pore harder and the now exhausted human. The human was startled. Eyes wide, berthing heavily, he slipped and tumbled down the hill at top speed.

Just as he was about to hit a rock everything when black.
