I was standing in a small hall where me and the light workers were discussing the details of upcoming show in two days. It was a pretty loud noise from the other side of the building that kept destructing us - today there were a lot of people since it was the first day of our new project. When we finished I was about to leave the room when suddenly, so well-known figure appeared in the other end of the hall: I couldn't believe my eyes, it was him – a good looking man in ripped jeans with a cowboy hat on his head. He was too busy with his phone to care about what's going on around, so he headed right to the door to exit the hall where I was just standing frozen and couldn't help but stare at him. I was about to say something when he suddenly stopped and turned away, quickly changing his way towards to the other door. His actions were a bit confusing for me, so I just stood there pretending a shadow. He was still looking at the screen of his phone, scrolling it down and right the next moment he burst out laughing. Meanwhile I was still standing in the corner with a curious look when he leaned against the wall and took a cigarette.
"I thought that you'll literally bump into the wall at one moment or another" I said laughing.
"Heck! I didn't know you were here" he gave me a quick look. "Want some?" he offered me a pack of his cigarettes.
"Why the hell not?" I shrugged and took one. After I took a long drag, I couldn't help but cough. "Woah, they're pretty strong, my head's already spinning" I closed my eyes and leaned against the wall where he stood.
He chuckled and turned his head to me "Not a smoker, huh?"
"Well, I used to be."
"How long ago?" he raised his brow. "I mean, you seem pretty young to be a gave up smoking person already" a little smile crossed his lips.
"So you really think we must do it right on the last day of our lives, ha?"
He turned his whole body to me, laughing "Well, smoking is not bad after all."
"One year ago" I said nonchalantly and blew the smoke out of my mouth.
He was silent for a moment, guess he just tried to figure out my statement.
"So how old are you then, young lady?"
"You sound exactly like my dad" I chuckled.
"Really?"
"No." now I smiled as a kid, trying to look anywhere but him.
"Oh, get it."
A small laughter escaped from my mouth "25, almost 26."
"Oh I see I see.. So you're one of the members of the crew for tonight.." he took a look at my beige to continue. "..Alissa?"
"Actually not a real member and actually not only for tonight..."
He looked at me with an obvious questioning look so I continued.
"Well, I'm actually the boss. Like, the boss of the company you signed contract with for the nearest 2 months" I flipped my hair and looked at him with such a confidence that unexpectedly came out of nowhere.
He widened his eyes and came closer. "So young and already the boss?" He smirked.
"Yeah, kind of.. is that a problem?"
"No, no, of course it's not. To be honest, I was wondering what you look like but I actually thought, well, all of us were thinking that you're a bit older woman with a ton of makeup they use to cover their wrinkles. That's what usually happens to us though you know. But I like what I see, uh .. I mean, a beautiful young lady like you with a unique and fresh vision. I don't want to doubt your skills, no way. I actually think that it's pretty cool when young people like you do something for young people like our fans and such.. you know what I'm talking about?" He nervously smiled.
