"Shoot." Kit whispered to himself quietly in frustration. He leaned down under his table to grab his pen, which had fallen away from his hands for the third time that day.

He can't help it. He's nervous. Very, very nervous. Although he had set his mind on his usual overwhelming assignments, he finds himself glancing at the cafe door, feeling his heart beating faster than usual.

Was he going to come again today?

Kit found himself staring absentmindedly at the documents in front of him. Although he was trying to process the words and sentences, they all seemed to be in a hazy blur; going through his thoughts through one end and leaving through another. His spinning mind was only fixed on one specific person. One specific sentence.

That one sentence which had set off his heart fluttering heavily and helplessly against his chest.

Kit groaned and clutched his head in his hands, dreading the moment that student might step in. There were many emotions coursing through his body, but his mind was too numb to process them logically.

"Focus. Focus. Focus." He repeated to himself under his breath, gripping his pen in tightly in his shaking fingers.

Forget about him. Just forget about him.

He took a few deep breaths and forced himself to calm down; to regain his sturdiness; to have mercy on his brain. He let out a small sigh of relief. It's working, somehow.

But, that didn't last long.

There came a faint jingling from the cafe door. Kit's head snapped up immediately, drawing in a sharp breath as a familiar figure stepped into view.

"Crap." Kit hissed quietly, clamping a hand over his mouth and forcing himself to look back down at his laptop.

"Good afternoon. The usual, please." The boy's distant soft tone wavered into Kit's ear.

"Coming right up! Please take a seat." The girl cheerfully replied.

Kit kept his gaze on his laptop, perspiration rolling down his face like a damn waterfall. Feeling his heart was thudding wildly in his chest, he could see the boy's figure staring at him from the corner of his eye.

Why is he just staring!?

Kit blinked rapidly, as if trying to get the image of the figure away from his surroundings. Thankfully, the boy stopped staring and finally sat down at a table. The table was across of Kit; just as usual. Finally and eventually, Kit decided to take a quick peek. He reached out for his mug of coffee and gripped it tightly by the handle. Then, he raised the cup to his lips and shifted his eyes toward the boy.
