I make it to the building I was staying at and Ruki was standing outside, shocked to see me.
"I thought you said you were going to be in your room?"He raises his eyebrow.
"Er...he he.UH! Never mind that! What the hell happened on the outskirts of Balbadd?! It's in shambles there!"I start yelling for answers.
"Lady (Y/n), please calm down. The outskirts of town have been segregated by the government, you can't do anything about it."Ruki scoffs at me.
"Well, I'm doing something about it now, those living conditions are horrible!"I tunr arround to see the some of my guards.I point to three of them.
"You, you, you and you!Come with me."I order them and they bow their heads, Ruki sighs as I point at him. They follow me towards the city markets.
I need something cheap, but quailty made...
A cozy scent waffers into my nose.
Over there!
I turn and see an open stand selling heaps of bread, they were large and soft.I walk over and the guards follow me.
"How much for one loaf?"I ask the person there, the other customers scoot out of the way.
"7 kou bills for 2."He answers, imtimidated by the guards.
"Give me 400, seperate them into 4 bags."I say to him, he nods his head and goes into his cart to organise my order.I look down in my bag to see my money.
Meh. I'll pay for it.
I motion the guards to take the bags that were give, they nod their heads and take them.I count my money again and readied to pay.
"Lady (Y/n), no need to pay."Ruki says from beside me.
"An unlimited supply has been issued to you by the Emperor. He entrusted it me."He pulls out a stack of Kou bills and pays for it.
"Well, that's thoughtful of him."I say, refering to the Emperor. The baker gleams look at the wealth he'd just gained from my purchase.
"Come."The guards follow and we make it out of the city and into the outskirts of where I had been. The hungry looked at the guards bags in hunger. I stopped in the a large open area where most of them were gathered.
"If you want food, please gather in lines."I say to them, they look at me in surprise and soon, most of streets had heard my call and had gathered in lines.
"Give one loaf to each person, make sure the children get half each, or there won't be enough for everyone."I command the soldiers, they nod their head.
"Lady (Y/n), why all this? They're just people from the slums."Ruki asks me as I give half a piece to a child.
"Why? Because if no one is going to do something about it, I will. People should always be given chances, and Ruki...don't say it like they're trash...they're just people who were stripped of their freedom."I say to him, he nods intently at my words.
"What's going on here?"A deep voice shouts as the guards finish up distributing the bread.I turn and see the guy I bumped into from before, with his companions from behind him.
"You!"We shout in sync pointing at each other.
"Lady (Y/n), please step back."Ruki stands in front of me with his hands on his swords.
"It's Cassim!"
"Why is he here?"I murmurs from among the crowd, the guards surround me.
"Ruki! Let me speak to him."I say to him.
