Chapter 3

Are you coming to see me play?' asked Boby
' She needs rest,' said Miriam
'  I'll watch cartoons you go and take care,' said Esther
' Love you,' he replied kissing her forehead
He took his gear and headed to school since the match will be played there. On his way he could see alot of Babie High supporters flying their banners high . He went straight to the locker room and changed into his jersey. The moons light  lighted up the pitch. He could see through the window a young girl sitting at the front sit jotting some things down. She was wearing a blue dress and a white scarf round her neck. She looked beautiful.
He got his gaze off her and quickly put on his boots since the whistle had just been blown. He hurried across the hall and bump! He hit someone
' What the hell is wrong with you!' he blurted
The person was busy collecting some papers . It was the girl he saw on the pitch. It seemed she was crying. The girl did not say a word. She took up the papers and ran away.                            *.       *.      *
The school counselor entered the room and found John already ready for the session. She was a woman late in her thirties and very kind especially to teens. She had 2 sons and 3 girls.
'What's eating you up?' she asked
' It's my friend actually,' he said. He explained the whole story of Boby's fantasy with Shirley. He needed to get over her and move on with life . The counselor told him to take Boby somewhere he quiet like a camp just to clear his mind and see there are other girls out there who can appreciate him for who he really is. Coincidentally there was a church camp John was to attend so he decided he will invite Boby to the camp. He thanked the counselor for the help.
' You're a good friend John,' she commented.' You can go out of your way to help him out I hope this works,' she added. John left the room and headed home since it was already late and he had no plans of going to the football game.

Perry entered the waiting room as instructed. It was spaceous with different designs on chandelier in it. The walls were painted sky blue and the tables were all made of glass. There was a portrait of a young woman on the wall. It had a caption under it
     ' Maureen Lyon - Founder of Lyon Family Foundation 2046'
'You may now enter she's expecting you,' said the secretary
He slowly walked to the main office and opened the door.
Maureen was the one sponsoring their family . He was there to talk about their recent school performance.
' I can see you guys are doing quite well especially Jessy,' she said looking at the report cards. ' How is she holding up after the disaster with the boy Renny and Shirley?' she continued
' Pretty well but she has vowed not to love again,' replied Perry.
' Oh I see .Pass my greetings to her and your brother. Those 3 baskets you can see over there are yours . It's my gift to your family,'
' Thank you very much madam,'
'  And from today don't call me madam , just call me Aunt Maureen okay,'
' Okay Aunt Maureen,'
As Perry was moving out she took out a picture of a little girl and boy and put it on the table.
' Where could you be?' she asked herself
