Me, out of all people. I chuckle at the very idea. I don't even look back anymore. I laugh thinking about time wasted on the mugs. "A King's only concern is that of his people and himself." Before I became a King I was a prince and my mother of humble beginning saw greatness in me when no one else did. She saw possibilities in everything. I never saw another person with iron clad optimism. Nothing could lead to dismay. Nothing could stop her. A woman on a mission. A mission for her kin. From a clan of warriors and her husband a King. Evenly matched I must say, but unfortunately, all things must end and so did their union.
The Argos Kingdom is a land of possibilities as my mother intended and a land that has accomplished many great things as my father would have desired. Foremost, we must understand how the Argos Kingdom began. Kale, land of Fire and Selah the island of wishes was too very distant places. Divided by an ocean no less. My father Odenhime a Kalek general set sail from his country of origin with 50 boats manned by him to my mother's homeland known by the name of Selah.
Selah home to Engel the fiercest warrior known to best every man on the island. An island mostly ruled by women because of their tendency to fight with wits and not their cocks first. As men of the island tended to waste their might for the sole purpose of being able to boast after a contest to get the finest women of Malfoy's tavern. It was a hot spot for women and men to engage in all manner of activities. Women were left unsatisfied because these men would sheath their swords inside them too quickly for pleasure.
As the warning signal sounded, the people of selah were shocked as they knew that this meant one thing and one thing only... Invaders. People with only a few goals... rape, murder, and pillage. But my mother was no ordinary mortal. She saw in herself what she believed everyone should see in themselves, the willingness to contend against all odds. She drummed up the men, the women, and children young as 14. "Today we dine on the heads of the invaders, today we win!" she shouted her battle cry loudly for all to hear.
"Arrgh!" The people yelled on the shores as they awaited the invaders. No more than five hundred men, adult females and children. We'll slaughter them all and take these riches for own Arbok of Kale shouted, a soldier known for his many wins in battle. Second only to my father. My father was not a lover of war, but he recognized in his land that it was a necessity and that's why he convinced over five thousand to leave with him in search of their own land where their children wouldn't have to face the same struggles as they did. This was my father's belief as Kale was surrounded by warring nations on both positions. Fes to the east and Gen to the west, both equal in might to Kale.
My father looked on, saddened at the sight, knowing this would be a butchery. " If any are willing to surrender, let them live as slaves," he ordered. Kale men were bound by ironclad loyalty and my father brought men he believed to be the best with on this conquest. Ready to die for him without question. Men who only feared dishonor. A trumpet was blown by a man of Kale signaling the others to ready themselves. My father said one thing to his men before the approaching battle," men tonight we feast and live for our family's sake, for Kale and all its people!"
