Courtney sat on the dock, watching the sunrise. She had gotten no sleep last night, partially due to the yacht party her team had last night, and partially because she was thinking about Duncan. Him sleeping in the bunk across from her didn't help much either. The dumbest thing had totally messed up their relationship. Well, maybe it wasn't dumb, but it sure as hell was ridiculous.

He probably doesn't even care about me anymore at this point, she thought. Of course he does, Courtney! He's trying to get back at the guy he thinks tried murder you even though you don't think he did! And that was just the problem. If he couldn't realize that she didn't want to indulge herself in this anymore, then maybe they weren't meant to be after all.

"Man, I'm starving," a sudden voice came from a distance. Courtney turned and saw Geoff and DJ walking out of their cabin. "Pancakes sound so good right now."

"Mmm...oatmeal for me," DJ replied. "Mama always makes the best oatmeal..."

The C.I.T. rolled her eyes, turning back around. She found herself pouting out of boredom. Something was definitely missing and she knew exactly what-or who it was. He's probably already planning on his next revenge move.

"...Princess?" Her heart pounded when she heard his voice. As much as she wanted to turn around and hug him, she simply stayed put, arms and legs crossed. "Courtney," she heard footsteps on the dock. I can't let him see that I'm desperate for his attention!

She saw him sit next to her right out of the corner of her eye. A few minutes of silence passed, then Duncan sighed. "Look...I-I miss this."

"Miss what?" She asked, knowing perfectly well what he was referring to.

"I miss us," He clarified.

"And whose fault was that?"

"Excuse me-"

"Whose fault was it?!" The brunette snapped.

"Well it sure as hell wasn't mine!"

I told you over and over again to give up your little investigation, because it's ridiculous! And you didn't! You kept going and going, pushing and pushing! Do you know how annoying it is to have a boyfriend who won't listen to you?!"

"And there you go again! Telling me what to do!"

"Oh, really?! I'm telling you what to do?!!" She stood up. "You really have some nerve, Duncan."

"What?!" He stood up as well. "So now I can't get back at the man who tried to murder my girlfriend?!"

"Yes! And not just because I'm telling you to!"

"Why else should I stop, then?" He challenged.

"Because we don't have any damn evidence!!!! How hard is this for you to understand?!!"

"We have the black mask that my team found during the scavenger hunt!"

"Ok, how can you tell who it is, then?!"
